Slicefixer. Any updates? Anyone still working with him?

I think I met Geoff, Dana and a few other great teaching pro's out here when I purchased a new set of Mizuno's in 2003 looking for info on them (reviews) I stumbled on to this website. They were all great and have made such great strides in their careers. I really mean it some of these guys have invented some great training aids and really were spot on.

 

My first interaction with him was when a beginner asked a s question on how to obtain back spin on an iron shot:

 

I remember replying --> Start 10 feet of the green and try to skip the ball across the green - by making the golf ball climb the face then go back 20 feet and so on. Geoff said this is great advice who are you? and ever since that interaction he was super nice to me that's all can mention. I have not been on the instruction part much hitting it to good for me these days. I was out here recently reviewing the stack system. Now that I don't play hockey 4 nights a week I need some pick up(length) and my friends have had success with it.

Haven’t seen him in a while so my fundamentals are off. But still try to practice his stuff. Planning to go see him in a few months to get back on track. Swing is not as pretty as his star pupil but not bad for a 9-5 working salary man .

Your bottom half is very good in these and you finish in balance. GJ would be very happy.

Geoff isn't interested in an online presence and actively avoids social media.

What's the best way to get in contact with him? Going to be around Texarkana this summer and would be interested in setting up some lessons.

He is practically retired, didnt see any new students while i was there. Message him on facebook. he told me he still checks messages there.

That guy has some serious knowledge. The Encyclopedia Texarkana lives on, thankfully.

I had a lesson with Dan Whittaker who learned from Geoff - wasn't impressed, had his assistant pros running up and down the stairs giving him live updates about twins he was supposed to be teaching with the parent quizzing if he could teach one of them being left handed. 5-10 minutes of interruptions 

 

My game clearly wasn't at the level he wanted to be teaching - at least that's how it felt.  Since then it does indeed appear that he likes elite juniors etc.  Pity cos some of his videos are really good.
