Just understand I have been a niners fan around 35 years. Dealing with the York/ Debartalo and then Balke/Harbaugh BS this feels good. And I speak for all of us.

Well, I won with KC and good Bud Mitch Schwartz, #71(Maddie is staying with Mitch & his wife, Brooke, and was at the game today), and It looks like the 7 1/2 I gave the Pack is lookin very good, lolol

 

This upcoming game is why I rarely bet as I’m going to be going with my emotions and the Chiefs, and the last time that I did that, I got my clock cleaned, lol.

 

Regardless, it should be a h*ll of a Super Bowl!!

I read a stat that the Niners have not scored a TD by a first round pick on offense all season. If they win the SB they will be the first team ever to do that.

Chiefs as 2.5 favorites. Should be a fun matchup. Couldn’t ask for two better teams. Both teams are bringing speed to the table. I hop Kyle gets to open up that playbook. The draw on third and long caught everyone off guard, that was a great call and the game just changed after that.

So much for burying the run game. 3 wins in this playoff by teams with QBs who threw under 100yds.

It's been very fun this season, Lamar Jackson and teams like the 49ers showing that air raid and spreads aren't the only way to go.

Should help keep football interesting. Was worried in would become like the NBA where every offense was starting to look the same

This SB reminds me a bit of the 2014 game between the Broncos and the Seahawks, same divisions too actually now that i think about it

I feel like I'd pick the 49ers right now. But I think the public sentiment will probably move in favor of the chiefs. I think most people will lean towards the chiefs because offense dazzles us and we tend to see these unstoppable QB's as infallible, even though guys like Manning and Rodgers have lost in the past even at the height of their powers

I think the 49ers can disrupt that offense and control the clock. Similar to 2014 i could see the defense really disrupt the dominant offense. Doubt it will be a blowout.....but there were pretty good odds on the extended spread if you bet on the 49ers. I think they'll win the game outright

What’s crazy is the niners average more YPG, PPG, rushing, and have more TDs then KC does.

Should be a good game, neither team has lost by more then 7 all season.

Interestingly the Chiefs also allowed less points than the 49ers did this year, however I dont think anyone would argue they have a better defense.

Coming into this I think the chiefs offense is humming and the 49ers defense is. Both seem to reaching their Apex at the right time.

I tend to choose defense in these situations most of the time

I think it’s a valid argument that the Niners have a better offense. I am not taking that position but someone could and would have a lot of valid points. Like you said the Chiefs do it differently and are flashy on offense so the narrative is becoming Offense vs Defense. Chiefs D will have their hands full is all I’m saying.

Remember the 99 Super Bowl when the Broncos had the crazy running game and the old Elway and they came our slinging it all over the field? This reminds me of that. I don’t know if Kyle will throw the ball 40 times (I hope they don’t, that would be bad). But he’s been able to not show a lot of the offense on tape this postseason. I’m sure he will have a few tricks up his sleeve. I can totally see a play action on the first play, seems like the perfect time for that.

To me the narrative is can KC stop the run or will SF be able to play bully ball again. Imagine if the Niners have a similar performance as the last two weeks. This team will be legendary!

Would be shocked if Shanahan comes out throwing a lot , based on his history in the SB. Theres definitely some value in misdirection, but the team has arguably the best run game in the league and the coach has a previous lesson learned about not running the ball enough when he needed to.

I would imagine they do as you say, plan some creative throwing plays with play action and misdirection to ease Jimmy into it and run the ball a lot.

I would also want to run the ball just to keep it out of Mahomes hands as much as possible and keep the defende rested to go after him full tilt

I would not be surprised by this. I am not sure if the O-line for KC can hang with the defensive front of the 49ers

That seems to be one of the bigger match up story lines. I am just as interested to see if the KC defense can get off blocks or if the Niners blockers will be able to dominate as they have done of late.

Kittle dominated Za'Darius Smith, seemed like every play Kittle was on his side of the field and assigned to blocking him. I will be interested to see if they use Kittle the same way and essentially take someone out of the game.

Yeah there seems to be a lot of interesting matchups. I think the best teams are in the super bowl. So it should be a good game
