His form is ugly. I don't see a run first offense plowing thru several good teams in a row to win the Lombardi trophy. Kid is a phenom, but that throwing motion is garbage! One and done!

I watched 4-5 Ravens games this year and that was by far the worst I've seen him look. I thought maybe he was nervous .

He did not look like an NFL caliber PASSER yesterday. His throws were behind receivers, they wobbled and hung in the air long enough for defenders to close and bat them down. His second interception must've been 5 feet behind his receiver on a simple out route

He hasn't looked that bad all year. I always said to friends this year that he was Adrian Peterson if Adrian Peterson could throw like Jared Goff

Yesterday he was Adrian Peterson throwing like Nathan Peterman

I think he'll be fine. He is a much better passer than he showed yesterday . Most games he is throwing tight spirals and leading receivers on normal routes at least.

BTW what do we think Tannehill's contract is next year? Even if the Titans win the SB this run won't be on Flacconian levels (i am pretty sure that 2012 postseason he was 100/100 for 1200yds and 15 TDs and -5 interceptions...but that just might be my memory failing me)

But he's still getting like a 20M /yr contract over a few years with a lot guaranteed right?

I think he’ll get way more than $20M. Look at Foles. Or Cousins, for that matter.

Agreed, they do. But I think the rate for a “maybe” starting QB is 25M+. If you want a sure thing, its $35M (Russell Wilson). I’ve seen estimates as high as $40M for Mahomes’s next deal. Almost NBA money!

 

It will be interesting to see what Bridgewater signs for.

Yeah, Bridgewater has had some OK seasons in Minnesota. I think teams that will give these guys BIG paydays are nuts though. 20M+ for a QB in the say, 12-20 range of the league is usually a team-killer.

I think you can find a Teddy Bridgewater in the draft, or at least it's a better risk to do that and sign other guys than pay a middle of the pack QB that kind of money.

My feeling on QB's is if you have a top 10 one, you pay him whatever he wants to stay. Anything else you take low risk chances (like what the Titans did with Tannehill) until you find a top 10 guy

If i was a middling team i'd be trying to buy low on guys like Josh Rosen, or lowballing guys like Case Keenum or Mariota until you hit on someone in the draft. I'm not sure Bridgewater is any better than Mariota
