It's highly subjective, but Tom Brady/Jake Delhomme in retrospect doesnt seem that great. However Delhomme was playing ok that season. But his career unraveled quickly

Heck, Kurt Warner vs Tom Brady in 2001 at the time seemed like a huge discrepancy in favor of the rams. Both guys ended up doing OK

Peyton manning vs Rex Grossman was pretty bad. But at that point everyone still thought Manning was a choker.

It's hard to rate this one, both guys have so few overall starts. For all we know Garopolo will win 3 super bowls. No one thought Brady would be great in 2001 per my comments earlier

Manning/Grossman is a good one; I should have remembered that.

There’s a couple of different ways of looking at it: how good they were at the time, and how good their careers were overall.

As you mention, Manning wasn’t very good at the end of his career. 2001 Brady was a game manager, boosted by a great D, great kicking, and evil Bill’s cheating.

In retrospect you'd probably want to give it to 2006- Manning at the height of his powers vs Rex Grossman

It's hard to remember now though, but Manning was really thought of as a choker before winning that first super bowl. The prior year they had gone 15-1, and the Steelers came in and beat them on a missed FG that basically ended Mike Vanderjagt's career he missed it so bad.

And Grossman early in that season was compared to like a mini Brett Favre style gunslinger. But his luck started running out quickly, and was revealed as more of just a chucker

In retrospect, it was a super lopsided matchup. But at the time we kinda talked ourselves into it

Manning has been on both ends of it. 2016 Cam Newton had one of the better QB seasons ever and Manning was god awful that season he had 9 TDs / 17 INTS / 68 rtg, Cam 35 TD's / 10 INT's / 99 rtg and rushed for 10 TD's.

2006 Rex was 23/20 74 rtg and Manning was 31/9 101 rtg

The NFL is so confusing because the SB is always in a different year than the season. So it's like "Manning's best year was X" ....and you always need to specify if you're talking super bowl or season

The NFL considers the season to be when the regular season took place. So the 49ers will be the 2019 champs

Think this is really true? How do you pay the bill for EVERY table? Some of the people there wouldn't have ordered yet, not everyone gets to a restaurant at the same time. What are the logistics of this?

Did he just give a lot of money to the restaurant and say to allocate it to everyone? Or say hed come back tomorrow? What if after he leaves one of the tables orders a 150$ bottle of wine

As one who has been in the hospitality industry for decades I can offer this. The cool QB told the manager to contact ( so and so at this #) his people the next day and tell him what he owes. The manager just takes a copy of each table that was in attendance when this deal went down and adds it up and makes that call. The manager has a combined itemized check of all the tables food and drink handy. The manager adds the service charge. An office person from Mahomies camp gets a call from the restaurant manager. Mahomes people either provide a credit card number to the manager to settle the charges over the phone, or might even send a real person with an Amex to the establishment to pay the bill.

I would say this is really true.
