Ocean Course Caddy Rec

just booked the Kiawah Golf or Gourmet package and will be playing the Island Course. Any recommendations as far as caddies go?

Had two different ones. Names escape me to be honest. Get there early and talk to the caddy master, if you have game you won't want a more "resort" caddy. You're going to want a golfer.

Liked my first caddy - George or something? he was from South America, second was some kid from Michigan. Looked like he was going to melt in the sun. He was wearing long sleeves and a mask over his head and neck and spf 1000.

 

I know not really useful, but honestly I've had better caddies at some other courses (TPC sawgrass, Cascata, etc.). It's a novelty course, alot of rounds, walking only, and they'll give you a number and a line. Not much else unless you ask and tell them you're a baller. If you are. If not, play the up tees, do what they ask and stay under 100. 3 cap, shot 86, ,82 I think. And played well.

I have played there numerous times. Addy Rathe is a great caddy at the Ocean Course.

Addy Rathe, never met him. Must be new. I can read many jokes into the name though.

I played last December and had Hugh as my caddie. Great guy and caddie.

kid named greg was really good to us when me and a buddy took a caddy a few years ago. Not sure if he is still caddying though.

His real name is Adam, but he goes by Addy

I had Wade who is a former D1 college golfer. He came in 2nd in the caddy tourney last 2 years. He was really good.

Met Wade he was good. He was the other two guys caddy.

 

Dang it that reminds me. One thing it might have been for me, or I didn't like is at other places the caddies I've had are just **your** caddy. Not two bags, or one course guy rode on the back of the carts. Mountain course, no way I'd have walked it. At the OC sometimes your caddies other player is all over the place and you spend alot of time waiting.
