Driver smilar to R510 TP

I am still gaming an R510 TP with stock Fiji 757. Love the look, feel, sound, the fact ots bonded, and I hit a ton of fairways with it. I feel that i am giving up some yards though.

 

Looking for a more modern version that may help me gain 5-10 yards. I legit hate modern club heads, which is probably psychosomatic, but l cant get past the size/shape.

 

Any recomendations?

Good luck. You aren't going to find anything today under 440cc give or take, and also a whole lot lighter than that 510TP set up. Best bet would be one of the smaller tour Taylormade heads but they really aren't the same at this point. But who know, you will probably find that the new drivers work also. You can also take one of the current heads and set up the shaft length and weight to more closely mirror what the TP was (45 inches, 76 grams).

I would say the closest modern driver to the R510 TP is the Titleist TS4. Give it a look!

M5 Tour or TS3.

I have a 917D2 with a shaft that's phenomenal for me, and also an R510TP with a good shaft - you'd be surprised how close they actually are. If you trust yours, get good accuracy as you mention and still some decent distance, I'd stick with it. If you absolutely want to switch, The R5 Tour (right-handed only) and TS3 are your best bets.

Lol, if going that far back, just get another 510TP. I had one, lasted me all of 3 swings and cracked it. Not newer, but the 910D3 would likely fit the bill.

2017 Mizuno MP Type I: JDM but can still be bought new through Tourspec. I have one. It is dead knockoff to the TP except for 10% more volume and a slot underside and adjustable hosel. Bought it for the very same reason. More forgiving but performs much like the TP. Fairway finder that can go full bomb.

 

If I was to buy again, I would go with 10.5 instead 9.5 & go with Speeder shaft instead of GD TP shaft. Higher loft allows to open face more on dial down, which is consistent with the TP. Speeder is truer to old TP too.

Try the nike vapor TW driver. Bonded head and 420 cc. Also the Nike VR tour driver is bonded and 420 cc also. Both very nice drivers.

Nike VR Tour, Bridgestone J33 and Tourstage XDrive 425, Mizuno MP Craft 611, MP650 and Type 1, Yonex EZone 420, there's a couple of Akira golf proto models that play similarly...as you can see, most common options are going to be JDM issue, best of luck as the rabbit hole runs deep trying to displace something that already works?
