They are just as well built. The straps are great and the legs are sturdy and retract well. The ONLY downside is the top is snug. It’s not unmanageable but it is snug. There are times that the clubs required more handling to get them to sit in the bag but the bag was sharp and extremely high quality.

It carried very light on the back as well because of how well the straps balanced.

I have the read the white one and the black one...the ones with the leather-ish material have full length dividers where the camo with nylon does not? Can anyone confirm? I may have to ask Vessel

On their website the navy colored Lite Stand one is listed separate from the other colors, is cheaper at $275, and no full length dividers are mentioned. All four other colors are listed together, at $295, with full length dividers mentioned. So guessing that means what it says it means, but I have no proof of any of it....

It’s a great bag! I agree with the first poster in that only complaint is the top is a little narrow, so if I’m going to the range with a bunch of stuff it’s hard to fit more than 15-16 clubs with alignment sticks. But it carries really well, balanced, and even though the straps are super padded they are very comfortable.

I have one of the early grey ones without the full length dividers and I have no real issues with binding

Man, really leaning the way of the back camo or all white light stand. Keep waiting to see if a Hoofer surprises me, but don’t love their colors or designs this year.

Looks like the black camo is sold out.  This one is black on play for me.

That is a good looking bag and wishing they still had the navy in stock.  Want to put it up against my Stitch SL2.

Those are basically what I’m deciding against.  And throwing in a SM 2.5+ which is less refined but has the opening and dividers I crave.

I played the Stitch SL2 last year and liked it a lot except for pocket zipper issues. This summer I went to the Vessel Lite and it is hands down a better made bag than the Stitch.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

Really?  In which ways, if I can ask. Glad to hear direct comparisons.

The zippers on the Stitch were a huge disappointment. On both side pockets they became inoperable within a month. All I keep in there is a Galvin Green Shorty and 3 gloves. So they were not overloaded. The Stitch has the 2-way divider and I prefer 4 or more.

The Vessel on the other hand has more room and pockets. The strap system is the best I've encountered and the legs worked flawlessly. It also has an umbrella slot.

I am not anti-Stitch, at all. Their bag is tough. But comparing apples to apples, I think the Vessel is a better bargain. And FWIW I've been a Sun Mountain guy for the past 15 or so years.

Yes I ditched mine due to the top being too snug. Everything else was perfect but that was a deal killer. Sun Mountain 3.5LS is the way to go!!

Ok so how does the VLX stand and the light stand compare?

I have the lite (Without full length dividers), VLX and I also had a stitch sl2. Stitch was sold after 1 round. I absolutely hated the pockets.
The vessels are both great. The lite is my favorite all around bag, especially if you need extra layers or rain gear, but I like the VLX more and both are great for walking.
I use the VLX 80% of the time and I really like the mat finish and look.  It is a touch lighter and smaller, but perfect for fair weather golf. I use one of the saddle pockets for everyday items and can get an extra layer or rain coat in the other. Full rain gear in the VLX would be a little too tight.
Agree with others that the tops are a little snug but not problematic unless you take 17 clubs to the range... 14 clubs is no problem.
The VLX with full length dividers is easier Getting clubs in and out than my lite so the new ones are probably even a little better now that they all have full length dividers.
I have not noticed any issues with the VLX bottom but will take a look and let you know.
Can’t go wrong with either.

Really? Vessel website has VLX listed as 4.65lbs and Lite as 4.25lbs.

Feels lighter. Perhaps the shape or the way the weight is distributed.  🤷🏻‍♂️  Not sure I could feel a .4 lb difference with a loaded golf bag.

FWIW i picked up the vessel Sunday a few months ago and love it. if you like a minimalist bag, it is fantastic- i fit 14 clubs with midsize grips. can't beat the look and quality, and i actually find it holds more than my prior Jones carry bag! Super light and comfortable to carry with the single strap too

Got my vessel black camo in and it is indeed a beautifully built bag.  Feels premium all the way.

but y’all were right the top is TIGHT!!
I haven’t loaded it up yet but it just looks tiny.   Not sure I can live with it yet.  Will have to laid clubs up tomorrow and see.
