Knit Headcovers - Jan Craig same quality as Rocket Tour?

Looking to get a new knit cover, already have a rocket tour set but can't get the color i want from them?

I've owned a set of Rocket Tours, and they weren't bad quality, but I can't comment on the Jan Craig covers.

I know you're asking specifically about Jan Craig and Rocket Tours, but look into getting a set of Jujus. There is a 16 page thread in the headcovers forum with all the color combinations that people from this site have ordered from her. I've ordered a few sets from her, and she does some great work. I've had all three.

For me, in terms of quality it's not close: Jan Craigs are the best. They are also the most expensive, but IMO you are getting what you paid for and then some. I got a personal email 5 years into owning them from Barry Craig asking me if I needed any repairs or had any issues. Pretty top notch company with a really cool history.

JuJus are second best, and a great value for the money. I don't think you can go wrong with them. I have a set that I've passed down to my oldest daughter and they've held up well. Not the same heavy wool and immaculate colors and stitching of Jan Craigs, but more than serviceable.

I've had 3 or 4 RT's and they've all seemed much lighter weight and develop holes within the first year or two.

Jan Craigs are the originals and the best.

Yep, Jan Craigs are the best and Jujus are very good as well. Rocket Tours are quite light and thin

Odd feedback, bought 2 sets of RT about 4-5 years ago, have not even touched the second set, originals in perfect shape, play 100+ rounds yearly.

no clue on any of the others but RT are excellent quality

I haven't tried JuJu, but Jan Craig's aesthetics and craftsmanship is 1000x better than Rocket Tour IMO. RT feels/looks super cheap next to JC. I also really dislike the RT logo on the sleeve.

I'm looking to get some new head covers this year as I'm getting a new bag. Was interested in ForeEwe, as they have more creative custom options.

Rocket Tours are a thinner/sleeker knit. Good quality, but not a fan of their logo on the shaft. Jan Craig are a thicker/bulkier knit. Top quality and essentially the original (heard stories that Jack used them in the 60s). Just bought a set of Sunfish knit, also a thicker/bulkier knit. Like them so far.

I've owned Jan Craig, JuJu's, and Rocket Tour. The Rocket Tours aren't in the same league - it's like comparing a Chevy to a Bentley.

I think the Jan Craig is just slightly better built than JuJu but they're so close it's hard to tell. JuJu is fantastic to deal with and she makes it easy to do anything you want in the design, and is my first choice.

Another vote here for Jan Craig. Although I've never used Rocket Tour, it is hard to imagine a cover better crafted than Jan Craig. They are expensive, and custom orders will take a while to ship, but they are totally worth it.

I am a big fan of the RT, think they are awesome and durable, but you guys have me curious on Jan Craig, always wanted gray and white covers.

Prefer RT looks and design to JC. I've used RT's for years, never had holes or quality issues.

For reference, here is a picture of my Jan Craig headcovers for my Driver, 3W, and 3H. They are very thick, very well-made, and easy to take on and off.
