Just got my Rhone Resort 8" shorts and they are close to perfect. Love the stretch and hidden pocket. To be perfect it needs a back left pocket (only has a right back pocket) and wish the waste band was more like the under armor comfort bands. There isn't any stretch in this waste band but the shorts have plenty and are prefect length

I love those shorts too, I bought a pair two summers ago, but since that time I've been unable to find another pair with a 9" inseam, it seems the only thing available in the last year or so have been 10"+. If you know of where they can be purchase with the shorter inseam it would be greatly appreciated.

So after waiting over 2 weeks for my Bonobos that I ordered, they send me an email saying they apologize but they cant fulfill my order and that I will get my money back.

I just got mine. They are nice enough, but they aren't "super lightweight".

They are the perfect length for me and fit great, I'm just not sure how they will do walking 18 in the Florida summer.

lululemon if you dont mind no rubber waist band. I tuck my shirt into my boxer briefs to hold my shirt in place otherwise it would slip out or get very puffy.

I ordered 2 pair of the Footjoy Lightweight performance shorts - 35 and 34. I tried them both on - the 35 is a hair past my knee cap, the 34 hits right above. I think the difference is in the rise of the shorts, as I measured the inseam on both pairs with a ribbon tape measure and they were both dead on 9". The waist size difference between the 2 is substantial, which makes me think the quality control is not where it needs to be.

 

As for the shorts themselves, they're awesome. Super light material, stretchy, pockets are solid and they look crisp.

Well bonobos cancelled my order from the last sale, so that was a bummer.

But then they emailed me back out of the blue today, a CS rep - and they offered ANY pair of shorts at the same price so I grabbed a Highland Tour in 8" inseam which I think an upgrade over what I was going to get.

Very happy with their CS!

I have a couple pair of these from Old Navy. The material is quick drying and they fit better than most golf shorts i've worn. I'm 5'8" and 165 lbs. 32 waist and the 10" inseam is perfect.

I just played in my HT's and they are VERY nice. Nice material but breathable, nice pocket layout, nice stretch, great inseam options, tacky inner waist to keep the polo in, zipper back pocket, etc.

I get the UA Match Play vented at the Under Armour Outlet. Add in the Military Discount and I can't go wrong. Have them in every color.

Got a pair of UA Iso chill shorts on sale at PGATSS and am impressed. Wore them on a 90+ day and they had Very nice stretch with excellent breathability. Still prefer the feel of the material on Bonobos, but the stretch on the UA’s make them really comfy. Also, they feel shorter than 9” to me as they seem a slightly shorter than my Bonobos 8”.

I can't find these anywhere. The Dick's near me sucks w golf clothes. GG stock seems limited right now.

I might make a trip down to the UA outlet. The only UA shorts I've seen that are 9" are U Storm. They look and feel nice, the the color selections were limited.

Going against the grain here, but have in the past have purchased VV and JCrew shorts and both felt very flimsy and cheap to me.

I use the Lulu commission short exclusively now, 7” inseam for shorter guys and 9” for taller.

I’d bet the GFore products and others mentioned are nice as well.

The JCrew shorts that some recommend in here aren't really golf shorts. Fine as casual shorts, but if you like lightweight, stretchable, comfy golf shorts..I wouldn't recommend JCrew. Since they were only 14.99, I decided to try them and there's nothing lightweight about them. Maybe if you wore jean shorts or cargo shorts prior to those..

i like these. i will likely get a pair of black ones. they are hard to find though. UA seems to still be pushing their match play line in most retailers. the ISO chill are way better shorts, imo. wish they did more colors. no one around me carries the navy. only the grey and black.

Highland Tours are a different material (it has a bit more of a textured weave to it) and have different detailing with the pockets. The regular Highlands are a smoother poly fabric. Both are really fantastic and I like them both quite a bit. My favorite brand for pants and shorts by a mile.

Not sure where you’re at, but if you have a PGA superstore anywhere near you, they seem to have a pretty good selection. I also saw a decent selection at the local GG.

This is my first season with a couple of pair of Tours, so I can't speak to longer term durability, but out of the box I can't say that there's a ton of trade-off between the two models with regard to performance. The Tours are most likely a more expensive material and have higher end finish details, which is where the cost difference originates - whether that's worth paying more is up to the buyer. I bought Tours this year because they had my size on sale and I was confident in their quality, not because I wanted the Tour features or was unhappy with my previous Highlands.

I just got a pair of Banana Republic Slim Core Temp shorts and they're really nice actually. Not one in TN sadly. 2 GG within 5 miles of me and either have navy. Both only have black and gray.
