I saw these this morning and like the design. The beveled relief behind the sole in addition to moving the CG rearward, will help with turf interaction and keep the bounce more true to an iron rather than a hybrid. I like that the hosel was made for graphite shafts, but with enough wall thickness to allow for reaming to .370.

Sounded like the factory that was making the 590DIH for Wishon folded and that led to discontinuing of that model.

 

These di595’s look like they are made in the same factory as the other nx1 irons so that should ensure extended availability for these driving irons

Oh, yes! Just played my first round with the #3.

Get one of these, solid feeling/sounding and very forgiving. Great look at address pics can't do it justice.

I guess the last photo is a real club (looking at the shaft, hosel and face, but the back of the iron doesn't look like it's real).

Wow! These looks good with the low offset! How did you find the forgiveness of the 595, both off the fairway and in the rough, compared to the 590? Also, does the ball just run out and not spin when it hits the green? I am considering these if my ball striking improves (and economy permitting) and these may replace my hybrids. The 595 is a touch better than the 590, the notable things are the lack of offset on the 595, and the head is a touch larger, the sole wider - so you get a little more forgiveness.. The auditory feedback is different too the 590 having a nice hot sound coming off the face - the 595 being more of a solid sound and feel. Get the right shaft in the these - they are still one of the most difficult club types to hit well consistently.

Thanks TKS for the feedback on the 595s! I will wait till they are available for testing with my clubfitter and see how they are. I remember the 595s were very hot off the face, so would be interested to see how these sound if they're more solid! Out of curiousity, what shaft did you install in the 21degree?

I'm landing on the Wishon Red R flex hybrid shaft. Getting to D3, +1" with the GP CP2 blue wrap midsized.

For me it will be a horses for courses club interchangeably used with hybrids and fwy metals. It is probably it's best off the tee and to keep things low when I need to recover from trouble. But it is a great design and does many things well.

@TKS Just wondering if you had any updates on the 595? Everytime I get to wanting a driving iron, this comes up at the top of my list. Mainly because I can build it with the shaft and length I want.
Driving iron prices have been ridiculous (even for heads only) so this is looking better and better. I had the 590 for a while and while it performed well, I hated the sound.

Then you will love the 595. It is solid sounding as the day is long.

No offset, a touch larger and more forgiving than the 590.
