Looking at the “Old”: RBZ Tour Tour Issue

After really liking the R9 TPs I found earlier this year but wishing they had a slightly smaller head (and a 3I) I started looking at the follow up models and found a new set 3-PW Tour Issue (F model I believe) RBZ Tour heads.

At address these may be the best looking irons I’ve seen. Minimum offset, short blade length, and thin top line. I shafted the 4-PW with AMT White S300 and the 3I has a Recoil 95 F4. I put the Recoil in the 3I since it’s 19* and it can maybe double up as a driving iron.

MD courses finally opened up so I can’t wait to get these on the course!

Are these forged then or bell metal?

Nice looking irons. Just remove the yellow paint fill in the cavity and they will look real slick in the bag too!

They are stainless steel. I know the regular ones the 3-7I were 17-4 and the 8-PW was 431SS. But I don't know if these are the same.

Those are fantastic! Player's CB with little/no discernible offset, just perfect. I really hate that we have to wait for B/dot heads or tour issue stuff for the manufacturers to offer a Player's CB that actually has very little offset. I mean, if there are guys/gals on tour who like them, doesn't it stand to reason that there are guys/gals out here playing regular golf who like that type of iron? I don't know, maybe it's just me and I'm sensitive because that is exactly the type of club I'd like to have in the bag! Anyway, rant off and congrats on the find!!!

Just wanted to give an update after several rounds with them. I'm hooked and sold on them. May be the best irons I've hit simply because of how I can launch them, especially the long irons. The 745s were fantastic but the longer irons I just simply hit too low. The 3-5 irons of the RBZ I launch so much higher and they are really forgiving for such a small head. Pairing it with the AMT S300 makes a great combo. The short and mid irons have been deadly and the long irons I can really launch. And having basically zero offset makes alignment so much easier.

Do they feel as good as the 745s? No, but they still feel really solid and given they are stainless steel they will last a long time.
