They can't take a major win away from you. The money on the other hand...everyone's after that.

What good is a major in real life? If/when reality comes for you it is meaningless.

I believe, strictly in terms of money, they say winning a major adds about $10M in total from appearance fees. Take a guy like Furyk, does pretty well in appearance fees, but your agent can prob get more money in 2005 (won the 03 US Open) selling Jim Furyk major winner, opposed to Jim Furyk tour winner. Also has to be someone people are excite to have at an outing, Kenny Perry never won a major, but at a point probably fetched more money than other guys who have. (or like a Chris DiMarco). Just spit balling with no facts, most would prob be more excited to go to an outing with Kenny Perry/DiMarco vs YE Yang and I want to say Keegan Bradly/Danny Willett, but he might be good.

Other examples are prob a guy like Todd Hamilton (dunno what he's doing right now), or Rich Beem. Winning the PGA definitely increased Beems earnings appeal, prob told a story about "how he beat Tiger" at every corporate outing he was at; he also seems to like to party from his book, so that doesn't hurt.

Again, have to determine what you mean by "a boatload" of second place finishes and money.

Money and runner-ups. You'll get your spots in the majors doing that. You'll keep your card and will probably be way up if not the top of the money list each year.

These guys are making generation changing money. Money in that amount that when invested properly makes it so their kids and potentially their kid's kids don't have to work. There are not many people in the world that can say that.

KP lives a pretty low-key life. See him in town or at the course every now and again. He is a down to earth dude. I got no idea nor a care how much he has made but whatever it is you would not know it being around him.
