Wish I had ordered that Modus shaft in some of my past iron sets. I still have my gorgeous Honma TW727 in Modus 125R, and had TM M5 in Modus 105S - both nice shafts but more of a traditional profile.

So many threads dedicated to shafts, what I recall is that 120 has a unique feel that really works for some, not so much others.

FWIW-playing graphite in both my gamers (sig) for wear issues, love those as well.

Got back from the course. Good round of Stableford with a score of 34, which includes 2 pick ups - First was a pull hook with a driver which I put into the water. Second was because I was not used to the new iron distance, overshot by at least 10 meters... Must be the combination of lighter shaft and slightly stronger loft compared to my previous irons, MP60 with DG S300 - Z785 with Modus 120 is one club longer than MP60.

Following are both the positive and negative observations I made from today:

Positives:

Accuracy was better probably because of lighter shaft which allowed me to put an easy swing with good tempo.Distance increased by one club - positive for me personally.Slightly higher launch than DG S300 MP60 which allowed the ball to land at a steeper angle with great stopping power despite slight stronger loft. I play in link style course and this was no problem going against strong wind.Gapping is better on both longer irons and shorter irons.Smoother feel compared to DG S300.Turf interaction is the best compared to any iron sets I have tried including Mizuno, Titleist and Taylormade. VT sole is real!Negatives:

Took a bit to get used to the static weight. It was a bit hard for me to feel the head weight but got a hang of it after around 3 holes. (Driving range is not opened due to Covid-19 here)Still getting used to the distance. I am sure I will be able to eventually dial into the new distance but currently over shooting compared to my previous iron.

I am waiting for the RTX 4 with Modus Wedge 115 to arrive next week. I will review those as well compared to my current SM7 with DG Wedge flex.

Now I am trying to figure out which lighter driver and fairway wood shaft I should order compared to DIamana D+White 70 and 80... Any input for driver and fairway wood shaft that will go well for those who use Modus 120 in your irons.

You are wrong. I do it all the time. I like bragging how much I paid for my clubs. I paid $80 CDN for my 1999 Apex Blades in a 2-PW.
