Does anyone know how I can find out how much the weights weigh in the maverick driver.

The Maverik standard has one 5g in the rear spot.

 

The Maverik sub zero has a 14g in the rear and 8g up front - I believe, I'm not 100% certain.

 

The Maverik max, I have no idea.

I read somewhere that more weight upfront reduces spin. To accomplish less spin should I put 14 upfront and anitherc14 in back if I like my flight now

it is 14g and 2g in the sub zero

Mine did at least, but the numbers are on the screws.  As Tbone says, they are 14&2.

When I was gaming Mav SZ, I bought a weight set and had a lot of fun experimenting with different weight configs.  I ultimately settled on 12 up front and 2 in back, but yes, stock is 14 and 2.

Wait, so the Mavrik Sub Zero has more weight in the back than the Standard Mavrik?

A heavier weight in the back yes. Necessarily heavier in the back no. Captain Obvious (me in this case)says other parts of the head contribute to the weight as well.

Yes but it has two weight ports - so you can switch them around to make it weight forward for lower spin if you'd like. The mav standard only has a weight port in the rear.

I find that interesting. You would think that the more "forgiving" driver would have more weight?

yeah I know, but it is still interesting. I'm not a fan of the stretched back size of the standard or max. So for me, that is encouraging.

No. I believe all the heads in the mav line are around ~191g total weight but the amount of 'moveable' weight by default is different per head. Some sub zero heads come with two 8g weights instead of a 14 + 2g weight.

 

Each head in the line has a different shape and comes from a different mold at the factory, so it makes sense they all weight differently.

I'm not the typical player for the sub zero model but I have tried out the more forgiving models standard and max but was less than impressed. So I am hoping that the sub zero with all of that weight back, the lighter 51 gram riptide shaft, and loft jacked up to 12.5 will give me the numbers that I need in a driver.

I believe mine came with 12 and 2. Just pop the weights out and it will say on them.

I just checked my SZ, 14 and 2 in mine. I also have 3, 5, 7, and 9 gram weights. Makes it easy to try and dial it in just as I like it.

The basic Mavrik driver is the middle-earth club: slight draw, mid-launch and mid-spin, no adjustable weights. If it works after five shots, buy it.

 

The Mav SubZero is low-low, neutral flight, and has cyclone aeroshape// the Mav Max is high-mid, with slight to high draw. Both SZ and Max have adjustable weights. 

 

All have adjustable Optifit hosels. Probably a case of test them out and see which one - if any - enhances your swing.
