Ping i210 - Hovland Style

I still think they look amazing with the smoothed sole and numbers on the nubs.

 

Also, you know the most relief is in the PW & UW, since you can find players on tour that have their 210's, but 230s in those two clubs.

I'd imagine those playing in firm, dried out conditions - would indeed enjoy this grind- Kiwis included

Ping still has WRX grinds on some wedges - I had WRX custom grind two of my Glide Forged Pros.

No, they were stainless steel. I have let those go last year, traded them in for store credit at one of my local golf shops. I replaced them with the Maltby TS-3 irons, and I had the soles ground, both leading and trailing edge) by Sellingers Power Golf in Roanoke, TX. They work really well for me, shallow angle of "attack" and firm turf here in DFW.

Yeah, and they were still doing the bounce grind on the i200's but apparently have discontinued it on their irons line. I'm going to have them bent to standard loft (and that'll reduce bounce) to see what difference that makes.

I am not far from Sellingers - I may want a trailing edge grind on the irons.

I took a 7 iron in first to see how they would grind the leading and trailing edge. I also brought in a JPX 825 Pro 7 iron, and a Bridgestone J40 DPC 7 iron in so that they could see what I wanted.

 

"Big" Mike (because he's taller than the other Mike in the shop) did the grind, he took the club heads, and 15 minutes later came out with the TS-3 7-iron and it was just perfect. I retuned the next day with the rest of my TS-3's and he finished the irons in two days! I really like them!!
