Yes, Patty is the top rookie for 2020-21.  I had her in our Rookie of Year competition that the three of us were involved in.  I took Yealimi for our LPGA contest . . . as she was far more consistent last year . . . but I always liked Patty Tawatankit's game!😳 🤣🤣

interestingly, the Top-6 favorites will all play a deciding factor in the outcome of our contest. 

 

Nelly is the least of the factor partly because she's run a cold putter since her Olympics win.  Conversely, the two Ko's are red hot; both won their last outings.

The only contender who made a move today is @Argonne69with Sei Young Kim; but she needs to win.  Most likely, Argonne69 will drop out of contention if Sei Young doesn't win.

 

Neither Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang nor Jennifer Kupcho will make any differences to the outcome.  This is because @agolf1, @Golf Dino, Argonne69 and 18majors all have Nelly as a pick and none of them picks either Danielle or Jennifer.

It's weird, I no longer can locate Minjee Lee on the roster of this week's LET event!

 

Why didn't she play Pelican if she withdrew from LET?  Did she have fun picking on @agolf1?

Yes, it did; and you're also a beneficiary of Lydia's win.

 

Lydia's win earned us 18.50 points as opposed to Minjee Lee's 1.43 for @agolf1; which enabled me to gain 17.07 points on agolf1.

well, busy trying to figure out some things here . . . but I think for the purpose of the contest, my best bet is to have Lexi win?  Minimize Nelly's points, and better than SYK or Lydia to win??  

 

Regardless, love seeing the fight in SYK and Lydia!  Lydia is turning into such a big time player on Sundays.

Brooke did her job, you're now within 40.00 of @agolf1.  Bad news, Brooke needs to win next week and Minjee needs to finish worse than a two-way tie for third for you to win the season.

 

18majors barely beat out @Argonne69and @BadgerLin to win this week; and he barely stayed in the hunt for the seasonal champion.

It's uncanny after 28 LPGA tournaments and the Olympic, the seasonal champion won't be decided until after the last tournament.  It's a testament to many of our savvy contestants.

No, @agolf1didn't hit a walk off grand slam home run on Round 1, but it's at least a double that drove in two runs.

 

Only @Argonne69is ahead of agolf1 on Round 1; Argonne69 can't overtake agolf1 but a second place finish ain't bad.

I keep kicking myself, because I have always liked Patty for ROY and took her in our ROY contest starting last season. . . but dang it, I just didn't know how she would rebound from last year's drama -- I trusted the "system" of past experience.  So, I took the "safe" bet in Yealimi based on her 2020 season . . . ahh, the injustice of it all!

Yes, Yes, many thanks for running the contest 🙏.

 

If there is a 2022 version, perhaps we just pick people and add up the year end CME rank?  Lowest total wins.  I.e. from the first bucket the best score would be a total of 3 (i.e. pick #1 and #2 player).  Although next year probably everyone will take JYK and Nelly so it only becomes a race among the next tier of players...
