Sorry, @Golf Dino and @Argonne69; I've made a big mistake.

Actually, @jumpcutbeat @Sharrowto win the week.

When I read your earlier post I thought, "What do I have to do to win around here?" My players were Winner, T4, T6, T6, T13.

Eat up, Jin Young...

I thought it was a conspiracy to keep @Argonne69 and I from winning!  😛    But all kidding aside, I believe that it was A. Lim Kim and SYR that came through for you yesterday!   My players were: 1, T4, T13, T19 . . . good week and congrats @jumpcut @Sharrow!

The next time we'll see Jin Young Ko and Nelly Korda in the same field is CME Tour Championship starting November 18, 2021; but both will play one extra LPGA tournament before we get there.

Jin Young's recent surge is mostly due to her putting; she's #1 (1.63) in "putts per GIR" at Cognizant and #4 in GIR.  Nelly's putter has been cold since AIG and the Solheim Cup; and it culminated last week when she's #65 (1.85) in "putts per GIR" even though she's #1 in GIR.

Whoever putts better will win the battle at Tour Championship.

Beaten out of a two-week winning streak by a measly 0.36 of a point? At least it was by a fellow Seoul Sisters member. I have a feeling we'll continue going neck and neck for the weekly wins in the final two events of the season.😝

My longtime GolfWRX avatar, Na Rin An, didn't win this week but she knows how to hoist a trophy.

It's down to the following at this point:

a) Minjee vs. Brooke

b) Minjee vs. SYK

c) JYK, Minjee, Lee6 vs. Lydia, Brooke, Jessica Korda

If neither JYK nor Minjee play Pelican (or play and have a lackluster week), things could be very tight going into the CME...

I don't think so.  There's only two events left and I do not think that the probability is very good that anyone can overtake you at this point.   There's just not enough variation between the top 3 picks . . . most certainly not between you and I . .  . unless Brooke wins Pelican and JYK, Lee6, Nelly, and Yealimi finish so far down in the final standings and Minjee skips it or has one of her poorest finishes of the season - and even that may not be enough!

Actually, the combination of Lydia, Brooke and Jessica have a much better chance of upsetting you than my combination.   But, again, the margin is so big that it will require some poor finishes from JYK, Minjee, Nelly, Lee6 combined with top finishes for L.B.J. to have a solid chance to catch and overtake you.

Though as a one Yogi Berra would say . . . "it ain't over til it's over".

Based on the strength of field, the winner of Pelican will earn an estimate of 48 points.  Minjee isn't on the Entries List; you can close the gap with @agolf1 to less than 5.0 points if Brooke wins.

All these scenario computations for the top 🥸...  All I need is JYK and Su Oh to play well and I'm  SOLIDLY out of the bottom of the pile 😈

Well, as you know, if I had kept Patty Tavatanakit as my rookie, like I had in our initial "rookie" competition, then she would have gained me plenty of points!  But, alas, it was a moment of weakness on my part!  At least I managed to win our Rookie competition that we set out with last season!  😄

A lot can still happen.  A win by Brooke and/or a "LBJ" win-place-show will make the last week very interesting.

I assume JYK and Minjee aren't playing Pelican, which makes it even more interesting...

Minjee isn't on the list; Jin Young wasn't on the list earlier but she's since changed her mind.

I don't blame her; she's gunning after her third win in a row; as well as Rolex #1, Player of the Year and everything under the sun!

Although @agolf1 is favored to win the contest, it's not a sure thing mathematically.  This is the standing as we enter the last two events:

  1.    @agolf1                              1,070.94
  2.    @Golf Dino                         1,019.58             (-51.36)
  3.    @18majors                          983.22              (-87.72)
  4.    @Argonne69                       976.36               (-94.58)
  5.    @BadgerLin                        754.69               (-316.25)

I don't know for sure, but the winners should earn 58 points this week and 60 points next week based on the strength of the field.  Therefore the most any contestant can gain against other contestant is 299.72 if all their five picks are different.  As a result, @BadgerLinis mathematically out of the running as the Champion.

Both @Golf Dino and @Argonne69have only one different pick from @agolf1; they can both mathematically gain 118 points on @agolf1.   As a result, they're both alive but @Golf Dinohas a clear advantage over @Argonne69.

@18majorshas three different picks from @agolf1; he can potentially gain 236 on @agolf1 and is mathematically alive also.

It's kinda like we're trying to win the "Power Ball" or Lotto Max (Canadian) lottery!  Early congrats to @agolf1 . . . though slim it be, there is still hope.   Perhaps if there were a few more events left then we might be able to mount a challenge.  But alas, I suspect that I will come to rue the fact that I ignored my rookie pick of Patty Tavatanakit!

Yes, you'd have been a clear leader with Patty!

But, don't utter your concession speech too early!  You only need Brooke to win and Minjee outside of Top-2 at LET to take over the lead.
