Buying set of irons from Amazon

Anyone do this and did you have any problems?

I've had great luck buying used "Amazon Warehouse" electronics on there -- usually stuff that's just been opened, returned, and is working perfectly. So I tried it with a steeply discounted set of irons that were marked as used but were basically in my specs. Turns out ... I got a 3, 4, 8, 9, PW. The 5, 6 and 7 were just totally missing. 

 

No big deal though, I returned them and had my money back within days. Because Amazon processes returns so fast, there's not really that much of a downside.

Any club I've seen on Amazon that I considered buying, I've found cheaper elsewhere.

Depends...you still have to know wat your buying and who your buying it from

Amazon has counterfeit issues with items where you are paying a premium for a brand.  I don't know if it extends to golf clubs, but I would pay attention to who the seller is.

Depends what club and where it ships from... I found Amazon had Cobra selling directly on Amazon and it was the same price, but I got free shipping via Amazon, plus the 5% cash back since I have an Amazon CC and it was considered a “prime” item. Got the F9 tour 3/5 woods.
 

If it wasn’t shipping from cobra or a reputable place though I wouldn’t have done it.

Many people say that Amazon has problems with electronics. But every time I order equipment, I make sure that this is not the case. I ordered absolutely every piece of my equipment from Amazon, except the refrigerator and the TV. And as for the iron, smart scales - they are from Amazon. At the same time, they still work, and everything is fine with them. I do not understand where this opinion came from, that it is not necessary to order equipment and electronics from Amazon? If you received a broken product or in a non-working condition, it means that it was damaged during transportation or the seller was unreliable.

The biggest problem Amazon has with electronics is customers who can't figure out how to use it. That's where all the reboxed/refurbished stock comes from. When you do buy from Amazon make sure it's Prime, and that Amazon is the seller. That way if there's a problem you can send it back with no shipping charge and no questions asked.

Just because the seller says it's Cobra, doesn't actually mean it's the real Cobra Golf.  I've found that out with several sellers with tools when I msg the actual company, they say it isn't them.

 

Personally, I would never buy a club off of Amazon, doesn't hurt that the prices are so insanely bad on the .ca site compared to .com...

The box was cobra, and it came from the same address in CA as cobra, so I think it’s safe to say it was cobra 😂. I agree with your point though in general.

Amazon isn't bad with respect to fakes. Ebay is bad, AliExpress is worse. Wish is aptly named. You wish that what you're ordering is real, but it never is.
