It’s southwest of the Mersey and a little forgotten, lying between the Welsh River Dee and the Mersey. One or two nice courses farther West along the North Wales Coast, the best being Conway. You get to try the Mersey Tunnel. The farther West you go into Wales, the greater the risk of dodgy weather. Hillside, Birkdale area is said to be in a slot which misses the worst weather. All nice but fails to match the coast East of Edinburgh IMO.

Didn't see anyone mention Kerry in here. With Ballybunion, Tralee, Dooks, Waterville, the two courses at Killarney if you fancy some more inland stuff. No doubt some others I'm forgetting.

 

Other places not mentioned - Norfolk has Hunstanton and Brancaster, then a few others and I think Woodhall Spa and Notts aren't a million miles from there. Then south Wales with Porthcawl, Pennard, Southerndown, Ashburnham. Be prepared to get wet though 🙂

Second the suggestion just above.

 

We are spending just over a week in a cottage between Tralee and Killarney - Tralee, Dooks, Killeen, Ceann Sibeal, Ballybunion, Waterville, Castlegregory are all nearby.  Not playing all of them, need time to enjoy the sights and countryside.  And others before we get to that base and maybe another after.  Excited to be able to take a trip again after a couple of years.  

 

Loving the England suggestions - that's on the radar screen for 2024! 🤞
