Hamilton goes from $55M a year to what? That's the real question. They doubled Russell and that's still only $8M a year. 

 

There really isn't anywhere for him to go, so he will take whatever they are offering him.

When I was down in LA for the Open I hit up the Petersen Auto Museum. My first time seeing a modern F1 car up close. Impressive! The Indy car is gorgeous as well.

I do love me some F1, always have, always will, but with the cars sounding like a vacuum cleaner and the lack of much drama on Sunday.....unfortunately I can sort of take it or leave it right now.

This is the #1 issue I have with Formula E. The cars are plenty fast and there are some great drivers there, but the sound. I sound like an old man. 🤣

What is worst with the Red Bull dominance is that Perez can't compete with Verstappen.

 

At least Rosberg was able to get under Hamilton's skin and eventually win a WC title.

I honestly don't think there is currently anyone on the grid who could challenge Max unless they were in the same car.

 

Perez is a good driver, top 5 likely, but it's clear he isn't on the same level as Max. And Max is only 25, he will get bored before he's 35 at this rate and could have all the records by then, too. 

 

Red Bull could do better than Checo, just don't think they can poach anyone soon enough.

Exactly. Perez in the same car is not able to consistently compete with Verstappen.

 

Hence, it was a blessing Rosberg was able to push Hamilton in the same car for most of the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

 

I'm sure Red Bull to have a 2nd driver who can win a couple of races and not cause their golden child any problems.

I honestly don't think Hamilton is as good as people think. Not saying he isn't great, but he had the best car on 2 teams for a decade. Bottas would have challenged him more but was told not to and he stuck to his #2 role from '18 on. He assumed the #2 spot and was mostly happy there.
