Taller players using flatter lie Irons?

Did the range test last night as I had a little time. Std. lie had consistent vertical lines. interested to see the trackman data that is supposed to be sent from the session. Something smells a little strange. But I broke the cardinal rule when trying clubs.... changed two variables at the same time. Typically play SF95s in my irons, but was trying out a set of MMT105s, which btw felt amazing.

Maybe time to schedule a full fitting with a reputable fitter.

Very interesting thread, thanks everyone - - interesting to me, I am getting back into the game with retirement, after being an occasional golfer for the past 20-25 years. Had a good season in 2023, but plagued with longer shots going right (I'm a LH golfer), beautiful solid hits that start at target and then draw/hook to the right. Also wondering about hybrids, I believe they are difficult to bend - - what brands tend to be flatter and are their any hybrids out there with adjustable lies? Are some hybrids bendable?

Am using a Ping G410 driver and generally able to hit this pretty straight, at my target point and usually not a lot of draw or fade.

Have not done the dynamic 'sharpie' test ever, but going to do that the next time I get out!

Same here. 6’5 39.5” wrist to floor playing 1 degree flat at +1.5” length.

6'2" and play 1/2 inch long and 2 degrees flat. 36.5" wrist to floor. Dynamic lie board worked fine for me. 5 swings with each iron and results here (pre-adjustment) The flatter lie helps reduce the left miss tendency.

I am about 6 3 and play black dot ping these days. older eye 2 so not sure how that relates to pigs current colors.

regardless, I have always looked at my divots, are they toe deep as you would expect from too flat a lie or kind of right.

I've always been able to deliver the cub to fit a test but out in the real world where the shot is king I like to see what I've left behind. I find that a truer reflection of what I need in my irons.

will say if you find your divots are regularly toe deep, heel deep or what ever a change will mess with you for a bit.
