OG Project X HZRDUS Black vs Smoke Black RDX

What’s up y’all? See a lot of info on Smoke Black vs Smoke Black RDX but have not seen many comparisons to the original Black vs the RDX. Seems like the torque rating is closer than the Smoke Black. On paper are there many differences besides the materials used? Or should one expect the same results for either shaft? Or is there more to it?

I pushed the original one right all day long. Literally had to hit a cut or lost it right hard for a push. 
rdx can do anything I need. Draws cuts high or low. Just react better to it’s profile so I would venture it’s easier to release with a little more action in it

EDIT*** Apologies the below is regarding the Smoke Black ---Not the Original Black vs the RDX . I'll leave it up in case anyone cares but this is not relevant to the OPs question

 

I have a ton of experience with both. I've been using the Smoke Black for 2 years now in driver and 3 wood, and my shaft currently in my RadSpeed XB is the RDX , and i rotate that driver in a lot

 

To me the main difference is that the RDX feels firmer and a bit "boardier". The Smoke Black is smoother to me, you kind of feel the shaft more. Kind of like the old blueboard but it's low launching.

 

The RDX is more of a manly man shaft. You have to be able to load it and even then you don't feel  it flex much

I just picked up the RDX to see how it was, been playing ventus black.

 

I think this shaft is a better fit for me, more kick, hit it straighter. 
 

the Ventus may be a touch tip stiff for me, but have been playing it well for 2 seasons, this just seems easier to hit consistent so far, great shaft.  I actually think it is smoother the regular smoke black

I agree with the RDX feeling smoother than the original Smoke Black.  Neither feel like a really stout shaft to me and I have always gotten along better with Bluebeard type profiles.

 

I have never hit the original Black, so I can’t comment, but think that was a stouter profile.

Just went through a fitting yesterday where the Smoke Black RDX 70g 6.5 was the clear winner.  I was coming from the regular Black 60g 6.5 which I had always felt was a bit too stiff for my swing.  The RDX felt both more flexible and smoother, but those could really be one and the same sensations.   With the old Black I always felt I had to muscle the shaft a bit to get it to work best for me; whereas with the RDX I didn't have to make any adjustments whatsoever (which is the whole point of shaft fitting).
