Oh, no way.  I didn't realize that it was Jodi's son.  She is such a big supporter of BC Junior Golf too.

Another great Riverway pro is Salimah....also a newly named asst coach at Golf Canada...but you know that.

I said hi to her at the 2015 CWO...she was surprised I recognized her.

I knew of her because she's from Oakville/Burlington???...and a past Symetra/LPGA pro.

Another nice local is Jessica Wallace...i assume you know her...chatted with her at the putting green at Redwoods.

I think she completed her CPA designation and I think Darren was working at RBC?

I've played golf with Daryl Wallace, dad,  at Belmont...he's a marshal and mom works the snack shop hut.

Not surprisingly, Yealimi Noh made it to the featured groups at Cambia.  As a peripheral member of featured groups, she needs to take advantage of Cambia's weak field.

Clearly, it's a step in the right direction.  She needs to keep on plugging away even though she hasn't been an overnight sensation like Emma Raducanu.

Congrats.

I had already forgotten Ryann O'toole's win.

No question Noh will be in Thurs TV coverage window....but a "featured group" with Lauren & Ryann???....oh wait...you're right...a weak field.

Safeway put on a great event....really nice to attend...but with Cambia...not so great...low purse and weak fields.

I really don't have much desired to make the 7-8 hr trek anymore....the next time I'm in Oregon will be likely to play Bandon Dunes.

Seattle & sponsors...please step up and create a regular PGA & LPGA stop...thanks.

'Going with Jennifer K. this week. She's got to get that first win at some point, right? Right?

I expect Hannah to be in the mix.

Anannarukarn eclipsing Patty yet again....

Patty Tavatanakit had the most shocking round of the day!

She hit 15 greens, among the best of the day; but had 38 putts including three 3 putts.  This's more bizarre because statistically she's one of the best putters on tour; #3 on putts per GIR and #8 on putting average.

'Looks like a fun course. I think Judy nailed the description, noting that the reward for hitting the small greens from awkward lies is a fairly flat putt. Of course the subtle breaks appear to really be messing with the players. It's been interesting these past two years seeing the players visit new courses. The penalty areas that butt up against the greens add an additional touch of (real) danger). Length off the tee doesn't seem to be a huge advantage. Solid ballstrikers only, please.

Conditions look like dog vomit, though. The drought really took its toll. I guess preferred lies was the right choice.

Dame Laura and Sung Hyun both in the top 10? Have we ever seen that? Lol.

I like Julie, but what on Earth was she going on about with respect to the Inkster Award? College players who earn a card in Q-Series can elect to defer their membership until after graduation, right? The LPGA is (no longer) stealing college seniors in the middle of their school year. I do believe Jennifer Kupcho and Maria Fassi both went that route.

Course seems to be playing tough again this morning. Lots of players two to three over par in their opening few holes. Ouch.

Jin Young looking solid, though. Two under for the day through 7 holes.

With lackluster results from Koreans this year; this course is a godsend.  The course is not long and there aren't thick and sticky roughs; but it penalizes bad shots with ready supplies of doubles, triples and snowman.

It plays into the hands of Koreans; whose forte are not making big numbers.  Still too early to say a Korean will win, but it sure looks that way!

@Rapidcat

See my POSER putting on Tues with 38 putts and three 3 jacks isn't that bad.

Patty ....likely a +2 to +3 (men's) or +4 to +5 (women's) cap duplicated my results.

Is Jason Hamilton trying to grow a pony tail...trying to out do Man Bun, Olly.

Taking about loops....I see Aza is using hubby.

Anne Van Dam is using Kylie Pratt...with The Rocket's IMPLOSION today with an 81....maybe Hee Young should ask Kylie (her past long time loop) to return.

The conditions at Oregon Golf Club look like Augusta National vs. many west coast public tracks.

The west coast has been in a drought all summer.

You should see all the pathetic baked out dirt patches at the course I play at....other public tracks the same too.

FYI....there was a jr. tournament at my course back in Aug.....they played the ball down....the back out stuff was not GUR....why?

It's because it is "normal" conditions for our course.

Now if the same condition (not as common) appeared at a local premium private track...then one might be able to get a drop based on GUR.

But here we are in RAINcouver NOW.....rainfall warning today and tomorrow...up to 4" of rain...WTH...my course will now go back to it's SWAMP conditions until early Apr 2022....ugh.

I thought they are playing lift, clean and CHEAT because the am wave....the coolness doesn't allow the dew to dry quickly vs. the baked out nonsense on some holes???
