I thought you were JOKING about this.

Didn't the last group...who I believe were playing on pace with the group ahead...though Ciganda was in the group....play in approx....5:20 hrs....teed off at 9:37am...finished around 3pm???

WTH???

That's PATHETIC.

I'm mad our typical rds here are 4:30....but there are a lot of ball hawkers and garbage players up here.

Yeah, they finished a few minutes past their alloted time on The Golf Channel (6 pm EDT). If they teed off at 12:37 pm EDT, that's 5:23. Ugh.

Of course the final group was trailing the group ahead. It ultimately boils down to the pace set by the lead groups on the 1st and 10th. If the officials allow 5+ hour rounds, it's on the tour.

OK...didn't know that....all I know is Nelly plays the FUGLY TSi2 driver.

It may be fugly, but if I could hit a driver like Nelly I'd play an old sock stuffed with used cotton balls, and painted pink.

It's SO PATHETIC how 3 pros...averaging say...71-72 strokes each and RARELY looking for lost balls take 5:23 hours....someone just shoot me.

We don't see the slow play because the cameras are panning back and forth among players.

Took me a couple of moments to figure out who "Alex" was!  I was going to start scrolling through the list of LPGA Players! 😂

JYK told us it's Chuseok.....Korean Thanksgiving.

We should be THANKFUL too...that we didn't have to listen to Karen "Motor Mouth" Stupples and Paige "Giggles" MacKenzie this weekend.

Just sayin.

So the Koreans stole their land from the Indians too? And celebrate with a big meal? Hehe

Emma Raducanu signed an endorsement contract with Tiffany and Co. of New York City and now is a face of Tiffany and Co.  This's the first of many more major contracts to come!

"emmaraducanu Very excited to join the iconic @tiffanyandco family as a House Ambassador. Being able to wear these special jewellery pieces over the past few weeks has been an honour!"

No doubt, she'll surpass Osaka Naomi to become the highest paid female athlete within a year or two.

That depends if she can keep winning and handle it. Naomi gets tons of endorsements from Japan so I dont think raducanu will surpass her.

Yeah I wouldn't be so sure as too many people expect her to do GOAT level things.

Women's tennis has always thrown unexpected winners such as Pennetta, Andreescu, Stephens, Kenin, Ostapenko, and Swiatek in recent years. A couple of those players were expected to be next big thing.

They have had solid careers but not to the hype standard of GOAT level.

I think people are expecting too much from Raducanu but I do agree her achievement is amazing.

However, Raducanu did not beat a single top 10 player in her run whilst Fernandez beat Osaka, Svitolina and Sabalenka plus Kerber (3 time grand slam winner).

LMAO.

Surprise...surprise...you fawning over another young female athlete.

You're so funny.

Emma needs to win 3 more majors in the next few years and other WTA events....not an easy task.... to climb into the category of "stardom" and tons of endorsement money.

Congrats to Emma..but she only has 1 major.

If Emma should go on a tear and win lots in the new couple/few years...then good on her....she's so far has demonstrated that she's a pro worth rooting for.

If I recall....weren't you fawning over Bianca P last fall when she had 2 consecutive top 10 finishes.

Look at Bianca now.....unless things change soon in events she can get into....won't she have to compete and do well in Q-Series to improve her priority status for 2022.

Sustained mid & long term sports excellence if DIFFICULT.

FWIW...Osaka used to be my fav recent women's tennis pro...not anymore....I know she's struggling mentally....but the tennis court looks like the last place she wants to be.

IMO....Osaka looked like she was airmailing it in at the Olympics.

I believe it was in this forum....someone wrote some good posts about Osaka and how her family might have been illegally in the US to support her training in the US the last several years.

I think the media was really attacking her about this and maybe a reason why she W/D from the French Open.

I think the WRX member who wrote these posts is someone who has lived in Japan for several years???

The reality is very simple, I'm interested in any players who's the potential to raise the profile of women's sports; especially for women's golf.

Ashleigh Barty couldn't do it, Simona Halep couldn't do it, Naomi Osaka did it and Emma Raducanu will do it.  I was hoping Iga Swiatek would've done it, but that hope is fading.

Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu may take women's golf to leap over men's tennis and become the center of tennis universe!

What do you mean Gauff and Raducanu "may take women's golf to leap over men's tennis"?

Who would you watch; Gauff vs. Raducanu or Medvedev vs. Zverev?

Federer and Nadal created men's golf as we know today, but they aren't getting any younger.

Am I the only one confused by this post?

Of course I could be confused because I was certain that I had logged onto golfwrx and not tenniswrx. That's got to be it 😉
