Jin Young Ko is now playing Titleist woods...or at least 4 Titleist head covers.

I wonder which model driver?...IMO...the TSi 2 driver is fugly...too elongated for my eye...TSI 3 has a better classic pear shape.

 

I assume JYK is still playing Bridgestone irons....they are sweet sticks but don't hold their value on resale.

Bridgestone golf balls are pretty good...they go under the radar.

 

Judy is very observant noticing Brooke's corded putter grip...it's rare nowadays...but they were more common in the 90's.

Something mysterious about the greens and putting at this course.  Patty Tavatanakit shot +4 yesterday with 38 putts including three 3 putts; today Yealimi Noh shot +4 with 34 putts including three 3 putts.  

 

It's golf, nothing should surprise us!

Well, it didn't take long for Jin Young to answer my question. If she is/was injured, it sure doesn't look like it. Maybe she just needed a break. During her post-round interview she said she switched putters, and was busy dialing it in. Her putting stats have been off this year.

It appears that the green speeds are a tad faster than they're used to playing on. Add in the slopes, and it's a recipe for three putts.

 

Also, it sure appeared that many of the pin positions were quite tough, with few players sticking it close. The fact that they lengthened the tees yesterday meant longer approaches, and resulted in longer lag putts.

 

The course could certainly be used for a major. The +6 cut tied this year's cut at the USWO, and they didn't even have to trick it up. KPMG PGA Championship perhaps? 'Not sure they'd bring a 2nd tournament to Portland, though.

Looks like early morning rain, and t-storms forecast for the early afternoon. Unless they move the tees up on a number of holes, it sure doesn't look like it's going to get much easier.

 

They'll have rain overnight, and then t-storms off and on tomorrow. I'd say they actually have a chance of getting in the full four rounds, but there could be disruptions in play. I wouldn't be surprised to see threesomes with split tees.

Yes, some players did say that there's 3 putts left and right lurking due to difficulty of the greens. Some of my "bets" did a few of those 3 putts the first 2 rounds... 

 

I wasn't surprised JYK took time off -- her personality is such -- her caddy even said that he doesn't think JYK will play golf beyond 30(?) where she'll just retire and enjoy her life.

Ugh. Four hour delay? The final groups tee off at 1:27 local time now, assuming no further delays. They should be able to complete their rounds, but TV coverage will definitely be cut short. I assume they'll have to reposition some cameras, as they generally set them up on the back nine for the feature groups.

We had 3-4" of rain here in RAINcouver yesterday...so PATHETIC and depressing.

It has stopped....but the forecast is for more rain starting this afternoon....UGH.
