New Bettinardi BB Series and Inovai Rev 8.0 Putters - In Hand Pictures

Recommended Posts

I’m eyeing a bb-1f!  Can wait to see one in person and give it a roll.  I really loved the feel of the previous bb line with fly mill, but the bb1 and bb-1f just looked really narrow.  These seem to have a little more full of a shape, if that makes sense.

Saw this thread and thought this was all the 2022 new ones but on the Bettinardi site I see they also tweaked and will re-release the Inovai 6.0. The 2022 is a little smaller and in silver and black like the Inovai 8.0 (which I think looks great, but I want to see the size of the putter head in person.) From the site:

“The newly re-engineered INOVAI 6.0 Spud was designed by Sam Bettinardi to perfect our most successful M.O.I. (Moment of Inertia) mallet to date. With two years of Tour feedback, Sam refined the 6.0 with a 5% smaller head from heel to toe, offering a sleek, more compact design than its predecessor. The 358 gram 6.0 features a precision-milled Roll Control face from 303 Stainless Steel and a 6061 Military Grade Aluminum body, with a new Stealth Black anodized finish. The slant neck offers a ¼ toe hang with a straight shaft, aimed at enhancing the natural flow of the putting arc for maximum forgiveness throughout the stroke. The INOVAI 6.0 has consistently been in play by multiple Bettinardi staffers on Tour since its initial release in 2020.”

The only thing wrong with the previous 6.0 was the dead feeling FIT face. I think the Yes grooves will help a lot here. Never thought the previous one was too big but a little smaller isn’t bad either.

I agree. Did not like that face. Felt really too soft for my taste. Updated putter looks great. But so does your 8.0. Kind of hard to decide. The Inovai’s are so stable, almost effortless to stay on line. Have you gamed it yet? If you get a chance, could you post one more photo with a ball at address? The 8.0 looks very well-proportioned in the photos you posted. Funny, since they changed construction and started doing the Inovai face in steel and the body in aluminum, I like them better. Feel more solid and no loss in stability.

Bettinardi makes beautiful putters and they make them in the United States. I like that and I like how they have not been afraid to constantly change up the Inovai line.

Here ya go. I wish I had a spider x here to compare but I think it’s smaller than the X.

Every year on Black Friday they sell all their new line in blackout and you get them 3 months early. It’s pretty safe to buy one since they hold their value so well. Last years sold for well over asking price most of the year. This year the demand wasn’t there for the BB putters because they’re already black. Next year there will be blackout queen B and studio stock which is a lot more unique. I think it looks great on the 8.0 though even though the normal one is primarily black too.

Blacked out queen b12 🤤, site dot !!

  • 3 weeks later...

So glad they made the 8.0 slant neck in LH. The BB1 also looks much better as it appears there is a bit more depth (from front to back) on the bumpers. Historically the BB1 always seemed to have such shallow bumpers and the blade width from address looked so thin. Will have to give these a try and maybe even book a fitting at the Studio B (a perk of living in Chicago I guess).
