Steph Curry gets it done!

Awesome scene in Madison Square Garden last night!  I have been really lucky to watch some great performers here in the Bay Area during my lifetime and Steph is right there with any of them.

 

I wonder just how good of a golfer Steph would have been if he had focused on playing professional golf while growing up?  LOL as a DUBs fan I am glad that he didn't!  Would he be threatening Jack's major record now?  Is there any pro golfer who is even in the same neighborhood of raw talent as what Steph was born with?  I believe that he has the mental ability, competitiveness and other worldly coordination to dominate pro golf and I think that he would be smart enough to stick with what works and not over train...

Thanks OP! I am a long time Warriors fan. (Man, they use to be REALLY bad) Curry is one of the good ones. It’s been awesome watching him over the years! 🥳  🎉👏🏼 

*I was going to post something in his honor over in the ‘19th Hole’ sun-forum but wasn’t in the mood for the inevitable “I haven’t watched the NBA since their testicles haven’t hung out of their little shorts” comments! 😂

Yeah no. Tuff to be the best long range shooter in NBA history and make cuts on a professional golf tour. But I’m giving him an A+ for effort 😊

Yes indeed, I remember the days of 'Spree for three!  Oh rimmmed out' and 'Just wait 'til Damp gets back!'  Actually I go all the way back to rooting for Guy Rogers in the 60's.  They did have the some really good teams off and on but a lot more not so good...

The Run TMC days were pretty good. Spree’ chocking PJ not so much! Haha

Curry is the greatest shooter ever to such a degree that you can't even debate it.

 

Sometimes i wonder what other guys could've done in the modern era though. Like, a guy like Glen Rice for example. He had a season where he averaged 27ppg on 47% 3pt shooting in the mid 90's. Like what is the 2021 equivalent of that?

Rick Barry was fantastic and did win one title in 1975 with Phil Smith, Jamal Wilkes, Clifford Ray and a cast of over achievers.  It was a great moment because it was so unexpected.  Too bad they screwed up against Phoenix in the conference finals the next year as they were the best team in the league that year...

The Rick Barry days were a bit before my time. I do see/hear him every so often on the local TV/radio stations. Apparently quite the polarizing guy.

True considering that Ray Allen made 2,973 3 pointers on 7,489 attempts while Curry currently has made 2,977 3 pointers on 6,903 attempts.  586 fewer attempts then Allen with 4 more made.  Curry will most likely set a record that it will take a while for someone to overtake.

LOL you can say that again.  Fantastic player though and should have been MVP in the '74 - '75 season but was not because he was not particularly well liked.  He spent way to much time complaining the refs which definitely did not help him.

He will call in to 95.7 and after the interview they will spend several minutes making fun of what he said. Surprised he keeps calling! Haha
