Ping outdid themselves on those i230's! I wonder if the 60 stamping has anything to do with his constant complaining about course setups here!?

That G 3 wood doesn't look bad either.  I've got one in my garage and I've seriously considered putting some hotmelt in it to kill the sound a bit and try it again.

The i230s look sweet, but the finish looks a bit delicate (not that I would really care since I like irons to look a bit worn). 

 

I am curious though, it looks like the shiny strip going across the back is not a CTP that slots down lower behind the hitting area. It just looks to be a part of the badge/decal in the back.

 

It will be interesting to hear the tech and design story behind these when Ping releases the info.

The Ping finish on their irons is great to look at when new. But boy do they look beat up quickly. I would be super pissed especially considering they are now high end priced

Yeah have noticed that also, it's funny they made it resemble the older models CTP materials with the shiny bit but it's clearly just part of the backplate.

 

I just hope they finally feel as good as the iBlades did.

100% agree with this...  I'm not someone who is going to send them back in for a "respray" either.

Love the i230.  Strange to see him play a high launch set up in driver but then go with lower loft and a low/low shaft like the DF in his 3 metal.  This guy is such a character and his wedges show it, lol.  Hard not to root for him.

I really hope the i230s turn out to be the iBlade/i210 love child I've always wanted! Looks like the 4-6 soles got a little thinner - which is nice!

Talked to one of their tour guys. Has to do with sole interaction for the most part. New stuff is too “flat or square” and ends up being one dimensional for some guys

 

I think Taylor Moore and Sahith are both playing them too...
