New Taylormade 8 Degree Driver?

Does anyone have any insight / tips on the new Taylormade 8 degree driver and its release date?

 

I emailed TM as the 8 degree Stealth+ is out of stock. They told me they won't be restocking it any more. Does that mean a new TM 8 degree driver head is coming out soon? If so anyone knows when exactly?

I heard the entire Stealth is out of stock and no more.. Most likely new model is coming.

Same info direct from rep.  He said we are OUT of stealth plus heads.  Crazy when you think about that for a sec.

Haha yeah they told me if I "don't mind" I can always pay for a Custom Stealth Plus, which will take ~1mo to make and that's the only customizable (shaft / grip) Stealth Plus option I have left.

 

Any of you heard anything from your rep friends on when the new one might come out tho?

Not until January 2023. Anyone who says otherwise is making it up.

Apologies…your post said “when the new one might come out”, so I thought you were referring to the new model (i.e. Stealth 2). 
 

I’m not sure when the current Stealth heads will be back in stock, but hopefully soon! I am certain that TaylorMade will keep selling the current model as much they can (because they are a for-profit business) until something new is announced. Obviously, supply chain issues are hitting them just like every manufacturer. 
 

FWIW, I have recently seen plenty of stock at my local golf shop and Dick’s Sporting Goods, so you may have better luck with one of them.

No you read me correctly - I did mean that I am surprised that Stealth 2 only will come out 4-5mo later. I emailed TM and they confirmed with me that there's no plan to restock the Stealth Plus heads. My only option for the next 4-5mo are Custom Stealth+ (9, 10.5) Non-customizable-Stealth+ (9, 10.5) and Customizable Stealth (9. 10.5) no more 8 options until after Jan next year it seems

I see. That’s too bad…perhaps you’ll have some luck on B/S/T or eBay. It’s surprising to hear, but it must mean there is such high demand for the 9 & 10.5 heads that they made a supply chain decision to cut the 8.

On a related note, retailer is do business with said the stealth line has had FAR fewer warranty claims than either sim line...

Stealth Plus is low launch and spin to begin with.  The 8* was too low spin for me so only the 120+ ss guys who really hit up on it would even be in the market for these.  The SIM 2, 8* however was perfect for me as it was higher spin.

I have a Tour Issue only Stealth (Not the Plus) in an 8 degree head that I would unload if you really need something.

Weird - about a month ago TM sent me a Stealth+ 8* as a warranty replacement for a cracked SIM OG.  I already moved to a 9* Stealth+ ... so if someone is looking for an 8*, let me know.
