$871 including a "new" pull shaft for my driver, shafts on irons cut down and new grips installed by me. Having found this forum's for sale forum, it would be easy to do better with better equipment now.

 

All equipment new mostly bought on sale from TGW except for a Ping G5 Fairway wood bought at a second hand sport store for $100(like new) and a putter from the same store for $12 that's been pulled and balanced, relined, weight added, grip changed, and loft changed by me.

 

I wasn't sure I would like this game when I started last summer. Bag price is about to change-- although there's a certain amount of satisfaction in beating people with two year old and older techology who have played for decades and spend endless money on lessons and equipment.

 

I did spend between $250 and $300 dollars on practice balls and some time to set up a practice range in one of our pastures that has seemed like, in terms of dollar value, many times more worthwhile than any amount of money spent on equipment. The trouble now is that I need to move on to spend some real money on a large number of quality balls. Such is the nature of this sport.
