Flat / zero drop golf shoes 2023?

Not 100% sure if they are zero drop, but the Olu Kai Wai Alae (that's a mouthful) are pretty damn flat. Waterproof and very comfortable.

True Original 1.2 is zero drop, waterproof and comfortable.  I play about 2.5-3 times par week carrying my bag and usually wear the Original 1.2.  I also rotate in a couple other True models depending on whether there's dew or not.  Once you get used to Zero Drop, you can walk 18 holes without trouble from the shoes.  I do it on a course that's very hilly where most people ride.

True links looks awesome. Just got them in, but they’re too large. Size 15. So I guess I’m going to try a trail shoe from vivo or xero. Anyone have recommendations for larger footed fellas?

I have 4 pairs of TL.  1 knit and 3 OG.  Totally awesome.   I was already a zero drop person. I have flat feet and zero drop has strengthened my feet,  ankles and legs.   Oh,  posture immediately changes for the better as well. All of that has helped a lot with the flat feet.  It took some work and discomfort while my feet got strong,  but worth it. 

 

I wear these pretty much everywhere.  When it isn't cold I will also wear vibram 5 finger shoes.   The looks are gnarly but just awesome. Merrell makes some zero drop trail shoes that are excellent for golf as well.   

 

Ecco are not zero drop but still comfortable and well-made.   I just find a lot of them to be heavy.

How is the sizing?  My experience is some shoes require me to go up a half size for a proper fit.  Normally I’d order the 2 sizes and return one, but I see they have a restocking fee.

When I first went to Zero drop shoes which completely solved my lower back issues forever, I had the original True Gortex. Best golf shoe ever. I have since had other shoes that have very minimal drop and I just take out the insole. Until True goes back to a Gortex Zero drop (or I find a new old pair) I’ll sick with my Ecco Biom Gortex with insoles removed. Those of you that have bought into orthotics due to back issues, do yourself a favor and try wearing a zero drop shoe without an orthotic and you might have an awakening like I did 15 years ago where I went from not being able to stand for more than 1/2 hour, to walking all day.
