Sorry to those that felt I ruined it for you.

 

A little head's up in the thread by those of you that were watching it on delay would have helped. Remember some of you that is what we always did in out football thread. We announced it, and by doing so we held off posting about the outcome. I stream the PGA Tour at work so I was watching it unfold live. I didn't think about others before I posted that Rickie was victorious as I was wicked excited. I've always been a big fan of The Rick, and he has been a superb client/friend of Chef Parker for many years. I texted my friend (who is currently heading to see his parents in England for a few weeks prior to The Open Championship) and told him way to serve a winning breakfast this morning! 

Chef was working for team Rickie this week, and then Rickie gets it done in my hometown. 

Yeah I'm really jazzed, as are a zillion other PGA Tour golf fans. 🙂🥂

... Excessive Heat Warning today and 115* so I am not playing golf.   Decided to fry up some eggs and bacon on my Weber grille outside and not put anymore heat in the house. The "funny" thing is ... I forgot to turn on the burners!

I've actually looked into out of curiosity it since he's just down at Rio Secco. Only way to get any time with ol Butch is a 2 day package mostly with the other guys on his apparent and apparently lunch and SOME time with him for a cool $5k.

 

Included is 3 nights at Aria where you can go eat at Din Tai Fung; which is the only reason to ever go there 😂

Haha yeah, my last trip to PB was only 2 nights, played Pebble, Spyglass and Spanish Bay and was around $5k. 

 

Drove up from LA and went pretty much straight to bed, woke up at 5AM for breakfast and to warm up for a 7AM Spyglass tee time, finished that one up and went straight over to Spanish Bay. Finished that as the sun was setting. Dinner and some Scotch at the Tap Room, up at 6AM for an 8AM tee time at Pebble. Finished that, ate lunch at Stillwater, drove back to LA.

 

Fun birthday weekend!

My first visit was about 20 years ago.  Phoned up two old friends from the high school golf team on Christmas Eve... told them "You're going to Pebble Beach!"   Flew them in.  1 day at Spyglass and 2 days at Pebble.  I put us all up at the Lodge overlooking the 18th green.  Individual caddies, spa treatments, good eating, good single-malt scotches at Club 19.  When I bring up the story people ask me, "Wouldn't you rather still have the 10 grand?"  Never!  That memory is priceless.

Totally. Spent at least that much on the St Andrews trip. Can't even begin to put a price on the memories of that trip.

Big difference between this and the NFL is, NFL never showing tape delayed games at their originally scheduled live air time. So you miss it live, it’s on you to mention it. You got excited and didn’t think about it. Oh well and it happens. If it’s the worst thing that happens to me this week I’ll gladly take it! 😂 I am glad Rickie won. Always one of my top guys to
pull for! 🙌🏼

 

*on a positive note, my pops is oblivious and I just bet him $500 that Rickie wins! He took Collin

... Because he is one of the genuine good guys that thinks his sh!t smells just as bad as anyone else. Charity work he never flaunts and great with kids. How can anyone not love the guy? BC, you don't have to date the guy with the creepy mustache (not that there is anything wrong with that) just pull for his good play and being such a good guy.

I don't dislike him but I spend a lot of time in my car and I listen to the golf channel most of the time. I think it's the fact that every week for the last two years all they talk about is.... Well, Rickie is due, this is a good course for Rickie. And on and on and on. I know it's not their fault but I have Rickie and Rory overload.
