Ha! Same thing happened at a Warriors game last season. Lots of different lil spots for food and my GF and I wanted different stuff. So I went my way, she went hers. Well I go to pay for mine a pull out a bill and jokingly say “you still take cash right?”. Guy says, actually we don’t 😵‍💫 Ok, whatever and I use ApplePay. Get back to the seats and tell my GF what happened. She says, well that’s odd, I paid cash. Turns out she had exact change and put the money down and hurried back to the game b4 the guy could tell her ‘NO CASH’. So they took cash that night I guess!

No not that bad of a slight !  . Comparison was  Dave himself.  Dave is smart.  Even he can’t believe what he’s saying.  Speaking completely on the California front.  And almost entirely a joke.  I’m Appalachian american.  It’s impossible for me to be elitist 🤣.

Modern circa 1967.  I have satellite radio in my truck.  I listen to 4 stations.  90s. 80s. Chanel 34 which is alt nation or something in that genre and Chanel 12 which seems to have a nice mix of 90s 00s pop.  For when I need to hear some no doubt or cold play 🥸.  Having a car older than 1989 that has a radio playing period is progress. In my experience

I still pay all my bar bills in cash.  When I'm ready to go I'm ready to go. I just slap down the $10 or $20 bill, get up and leave.

Every venue or arena in Tri-state, greater NYC is 100% cashless. All airports too, cashless. It's both an embezzlement and a tax thing.

I hate paying w/cash. End up with all that wasted change in a bowl. I probably have over $100 in change in various places in my house. I think to take it to the change machine at the grocery store and always forget! Haha

... First time I ran into it was at a Menards in Bolingbrook IL. I would pay inside then wait for the attendant to refill the tank. Went to the counter and they said you pay at the pump now and it is credit card only. I don't remember if they took debit cards because I have never used one. If I am gonna pay with a card I might as well get something for it. I just auto pay it every month so it might as well be a debit card.

Ha, definitely do not hate ya! And for the record. I made the decision to not go back n forth w/you during our “conversation” about LA during the last US Open at LACC. I was saying you shouldn’t judge/pass judgment on Southern California if you’ve never actually been there. You exclaimed to me you knew all you needed to know because of the, what was it, 4-5 ppl, you have met in ur home city from LA??? 🤣 I jus can’t argue with that kinda keen insight! 😜

I save my change all year and then buy golf clubs in the spring. 😁

I got rid of all my credit cards 12 years ago. So far I haven't had any issues.

They just passed a law in WA state requiring businesses around Seattle to accept cash.  Not that we're progressive or anything...

... I use my Dicks Sporting Goods CC to pay for basically everything I can. When I spend $x I get a $10 reward. So I haven't paid for balls or grips in quite a few years. Just ordered a new MG4 58* wedge and used $50 in rewards. No fees and since I pay it off every month no interest. I probably accumulate about $300 in rewards every year.

... Almost all things considered, there is no place I would rather live than SC. The huge fly in the ointment is the absolutely insane traffic and high taxes. Other than that, I would be living there now and still may end up in the northern LA burbs.

... Making sure my Old Timer Membership Card is current, I just found out this year I can take a picture of a check and deposit it from my iPhone. Most of my paychecks are direct deposit but Foreign Usage and a few stragglers like insurance refunds come in the mail. Good to know I don't need to make a trip to the bank to deposit a $14.67 check.
