What’s the spiniest ball off driver, and off a 7 iron? Current models, not balata etc.

Don’t know what is spiniest, but current Kirkland is pretty spiny.

I found the Kirkland balls spun the most across the board to the point where I was losing significant distance. The BX S was second but distance loss wasn't nearly as bad.

Not surprising given that they are produced the same factory (willing to bet the covers are very similar if not identical), although a couple of guys at PXG apparently did some of the R&D.

the Kirkland is insane for how much spin for a modern ball.

For the better player the Bridgestone XS is the best. Chrome Soft X is also superb. Mizuno and Kirkland are inconsistent. Staffs spin but you need to be a bomber to compress them.

Balata hasn't been used in golf balls for many years pards.

The ball that spins the most off of my clubs are the Kirkland Signature Performance+ balls. I can't use them. My wife gave me the 2 dozen for christmas and I used three of them before I gave them a away to a older friend of mine who swings pretty slow.

I have no idea of spin numbers are but I lose about 5-10 yards with them off of my driver. And you can forget attacking a front pin on softer greens because you will be chipping back onto the green all over again. I'm not kidding about that either. 😉

I went right back to my ProV1 balls.

I'll echo the above. I play 5-6 mornings a week at a local Par 3 course. Most holes are 130-180yds. Lots of 5i-9i shots. I'm pretty dialed in with my yardages thanks to four years of Arccos use. I was gifted a 24-pack of Kirklands. First four holes I was either short of the green, or would land front edge and see it spin off the front. Flight was noticeably spinnier.

On hole 5 (I was the only person on course prior to opening) I hit six Kirklands, six ProV1, and six Duo Softs (my preferred super soft ball for really cold conditions.) ProV1 and Duo Softs did exactly as expected. Kirkland was a solid 3/4 club short of ProV1 on carry, and it would get worse as instead of just a bounce and stop with other balls, these would spin back a couple yards. Even on 5 irons, which was pretty funny.

6-7 yds shorter on carry turned into 8-10 yards of total distance shorter.

I've kept the Kirklands, as they are a good match to a set of stronger lofted PXG irons I have that are quit low spin. But they are not a good match at all with the traditionally lofted older JDM irons I've been building.
