Rented prior version of p790s recently on vacation and these t200s feel much better than those clubs. Just wish Titleist would make the t200s with a solid back like the 790s and Mizuno Pro 225s. I’m not buying the weight savings bullet point. I think it has to do with costs.

Funny how I’m worried about the back of my irons getting dinged but if you look at the soles of my zx7s they are pretty beat up. And doesn’t bother me at all. I read a post awhile ago that golf clubs are tools, they are made to get beaten up. I need to embrace that and stop worrying about the cosmetics of the clubs since I’m not planning on selling these anytime soon.

I'm not buying the bulge my eye sees in the T200 from 6i up.  stuck on whether to keep a T200 4-PW set that is BNIB.

Did you switch from i230?  If do, to what?  I have a set of T200 on the way, T150 I did not hit as well as i230, and not sure the T200 will make it out of the new box after some i230 adjustments yesterday (loft and lie).

TI X100's is what I'm waiting on, so don't try and make the switch. My estimated ship date says 9/25 on 9/27 with not shipping update. I'll be calling this morning.

I ended up going with regular X100s. Went and saw the fitter again and he let me try out the other shafts, X100s worked so just went with them.

Titleist overnighted my clubs so I got them two days later...done playing the waiting game.

I hate the shaft label on the regular x100/s400 etc. it's always peeling off partially. It's really the reason I went with the TI, stupid I know but we're all a little nuts on this forum 🙂 Titleist confirmed they're finishing the build today/tomorrow and will be shipping overnight tomorrow or the next day. Finger crossed! Congrats on getting the irons finally! Hope you've had a chance to enjoy them.

Well, I received my Apex CB order partially last Saturday. I ordered 7-11 (AW) CB's and received 8-10(PW). I was able to take the few I received out to hit them against my Titleist T150. Couple of things: (For reference, I am coming from playing the TCB and the '21 T100)

1. These look fantastic! Better than the TCB irons I had earlier in the year.

2. They are not that different in size from the T150. Top line is a bit thinner, but honestly to my eye, there is nothing to it. I know the CB is not a direct "competitor" to the T150, But I think the size is more in line with the T150 than the Apex Pros are. The Pros seemed bigger to me.

3. They are more demanding than the T150. I expected this. But man, mishits with the CB you felt and saw. With the T150's I can mishit and it did not penalize me near as much.

4.  I will reevaluate the CBs as soon as I get the other 2 irons. I have my league championship next week and the T150s will be in the bag for that! I am gonna find it hard for the Apex CB to beat the T150 just on the forgiveness alone.

I placed an order on Aug 9th with TI X100, and it just arrived overnight yesterday. So 7 weeks for me, and I was told the DG TI was the hold up.

Has anyone else found that the 2021 T100 are longer and spin more than the current T150 or T100? I have gone to a couple of fittings and each time, my current 2021 set beats the new irons in consistency, spin and distance. However, I ordered a T150 5-iron on a whim with the same shaft to replace my '21 T100 5-iron thinking that it would add a few yards and add a touch of forgiveness. Went head to head on Trackman today, and I'll be damned; the '21 T100 was better on all accounts. Tighter dispersion, about 300 rpm more spin, peak height is same, descent angle is greater by 3 degrees, distance was 2-3 yards more.

From their introduction, I played 620 MBs and blended some 620 CBs at times; I have both sets.

Late last year I bought T100S and Aug of this year bought new 2023 T100 irons.  To look at them, they appear very similar but aside from strong lofts, the insides are entirely different.  The same is true with the new T150 vs. T100, similar, yet not.

I didn't get along with strong lofted irons, too much spin, which lead me to buying T100 3-PW; though they are only 1' strong over my 620 MBs; that 1' is enough for an extra yard or two.

Just got back from three weeks playing some challenging courses in 1-3 club trade winds.  The bag has 2022 T200 17' 2i with new Tour AD IZ Hybrid, 85g, "S", and 2022 T200 22' 4i with MMT i95 "S", and the new T100 irons have i85 & i95 "S" shafts.  PW & Gap have MMT 105 "S" Scoring Wedge shafts, and LW has S200.

Titleist NEW T100 irons are mighty sweet; they sound a tad different from the 620 series, but feel like the 620 series.   If you have the game, you can't go wrong with T100.

Can you gives some feedback on the AV White AM2 graphite vs the MMT 95?  Know you have played both.  I am wondering if the MMT 95 is slightly more user friendly.  It's great Titleist added MMT to their matrix.

thx

I really like AV White AM2-S shafts, still have the set, have that shaft in my 718 T-MB 2 iron; can't bring myself to pull it, though it may be too stout now.  They are HIGH bend shafts, which we don't see much in graphite iron shafts, VERY STOUT, NOT like most "S" flex shafts.  Agree, MMT 95 stiff is a bit more user-friendly, but still plays stiff.   Heck, I have MMT 85 "S" in 3 & 4i, and they feel the same as 105 "S".  Those two installs, without help, came out D3 swing weight.

FYI; Titleist bought out MCA's MMT AV White, Blue and Red, AM2 inventory.  I was told they are only available now by ordering them in a club from Titleist.  Turns out to be true, a few months back I ordered another T200 2i with AV white Am2-S.

I did. They worked really well during an indoor fitting early this year, did want to go straight and felt pretty good. However, they just don't work for me on the course and my long left miss was creeping back in again - the i230 offset obviously didn't help either.

The T150 are exceptional so far and interestingly, I hit them significantly (night and day, really) better than the T200. The T200 dispersion as well as ball speed is all over the place for me (all of that with the same PX LZ 6.5 shaft I game in the T150s). I have now ordered the T150 5 and 4 irons. The latter with the Tour AD shaft, hoping to get a bit more distance out of it (around 200m / 220yds carry) to have a nice gapping to the 19* UW.

Update: A few weeks ago I started a forum post regarding my T-150 4 & 5-irons. Trackman showed a drop in peak height and ball speed (despite keeping an appropriate landing angle) that started with my 5-iron and got worse with my 4-iron. This made me believe that I should have ordered T-200 heads in those irons. I couldn't stop thinking about the possibility and ultimately booked a Titleist Fitting outdoors for this Saturday.

In the meantime, I was invited to Sedgefield Country Club (Host of the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship) to play the last few days and got to test this out. Sedgefield is in prime condition with thick Bermuda rough and extremely firm greens running above 11' on the stimpmeter. I played the back (Gold) tees and ended up having a few really nice rounds of golf with some notable shots.

On the 18th hole I had 192 yards downwind but uphill to a front pin from the middle of the fairway. I hit a high draw with my 5-iron that landed on the green, held the green, and rolled out to less than 10 feet for eagle. This was the exact shot that Trackman would lead me to believe I needed the T-200 head for.

I'm looking forward to Saturday and removing any doubt one way or another. I'll report back.

My 620 CB's are elegant, but a tad more challenging than the new T100.  I suspect it has something to do with limited tungsten only in 3 & 4 iron; while every T100 has tungsten, which adds an undetermined degree of forgiveness.  T100 require solid mechanics to benefit from 1' strong, compared to really strong T100S.

Also, 620 CBs are 1' weak to T100, another reason for needing a good swing.  Before I bought T100 irons, I had my guy add 1' strong to 3-PW, didn't like how the heads looked or felt, had them bent back.

Hope that helps.

This is great info, thanks @Pepperturbo. Prior to the T100s I have always played either MBs or CBs. The set prior was old TM 300s. I used to bend everything 2 strong cause I used to hit the ball so high with high spin. Since my swing has changed since getting back into playing, I am thinking the added loft will help with apex and decent angle.

Update: This past Saturday I had a follow-up outdoor fitting for my 4 and 5-irons at a Titleist Fitting event. During my original fitting at Club Champion, I was only able to test the 6-iron. Due to this, I wasn't able to test the T-150 vs. T-200 in the long irons specifically. After Titleist started pushing their new fitting philosophy of ball speed gaps, consistent peak height, and appropriate landing angle I spent multiple one-hour sessions on Trackman in order to see how my irons fit this criteria. Immediately, I noticed that my ball speed gap and peak height started dropping with the 5-iron and continued to drop with the 4-iron. Going into the second fitting, I had convinced myself that I should have ordered T-200 heads in my long irons (as opposed to T-150 heads).

Fortunately, I have been playing my best golf in years and recently had a few nice rounds with my T-150 long irons. These recent on-course experiences, combined with my multiple Trackman reports, provided a lot of data to share with the Titleist Fitter.

Once we were on the same page he had me hit my 5 and 4-irons to create a baseline. Keep in mind that the T-200 heads were stock length, loft, & lie with AMT Black stiff shafts. Whereas my irons are +25" long, 0.50° strong, 1.5° flat with KBS Tour V stiff shafts. Iit was apparent very quickly that I would not benefit from the T-200 5-iron. My ball speed decreased 2.7 mph resulting in a loss of 7.4 yards on average.

Moving onto the 4-iron things got more interesting. Again, my ball speed was consistently slower (0.9 mph on average) with the T-200 head compared to the T-150. On top of that, my spin rate was higher with the T-200 head (414 rpms on average). However, the peak height was higher. In fact, the drop in peak height that I orginially saw beginning with my 6-iron was gone completely. Unfortunately, we were not able to test the T-200 4-iron with my exact specifications.

Ultimately, the results were close enough that I decided to order the T-200 4-iron. The fitting fee was $100 but could be put toward a club purchase. At that point, it made more financial sense to order the club and sell whatever 4-iron lost out. Once the T-200 arrives I'll utilize my final one-hour session at Club Champion to compare apples to apples and make a decision. Whatever club loses out will be on the Classifieds page shortly after.

I've been playing a split set of 620 mbs (6-9), T100 (5), and T100S 4 iron for the year. All the clubs have been solid but the 4 iron. It was too close to my 5 iron and to far from my 7 wood. Just got the new T200 utility 4 iron and put my matching project X 6.5 shaft in it. Hoping that helps to bridge the gap between both. Going to play the t200 4 iron at 23 degrees.

After a few rounds with the T100 irons all I can say is that I have never meshed with irons as quickly as I have with these irons. These are one of the best feeling, best looking irons I have owned. Every clip from the gap wedge to the 3 iron are fantastic. Love the ball flight I get from these as well. They feel a little more lively than my previous mizuno 223 irons.

i special ordered them with the Nippon n.modus 105, and I am glad I did. Did not like the stock AMT shaft at all (never did well with true temper/dynamic gold shafts).

Best of all I get to have a 3 iron again. I play much better with a 3 iron compared to a hybrid and my last few rounds have confirmed this to me.

I plan on putting Lamkin Sonar tour grips on them.

I ordered T350s yesterday; my game has changed so much for the worst.  I'll be selling my 620mb and 100S.

The 350s are really solid for an iron that doesn't look terribly bulky.

I chose the project x io shafts for them.

Interesting choice. Did you try all of the models during a fitting?

I was fit into the T150 but know that according to the Titleist "fitting guide" the 5mph ball speed gapping was breaking around the 5i. This is why I decided to order the T200 5i and experimented with the T350 4i - all at standard loft, consciously increasing the distance gaps slightly at the top end of the bag, moving into the Callaway UW. Unfortunately, I actually hit both the T350 and T200 much more inconsistently than the T150, which is why I subsequently ordered the T150 5 and 4i. I much rather accept a ~4mph (or maybe even only 3mph) ball speed gap without sacrificing the great dispersion consistency (both left to right and particularly front to back) I get from the T150s. This iron is much more playable for me on course. The T200 give me the same issue I already experienced with the 2021 P790s - ball speeds and carry distances start to vary significantly in the longer irons depending on strike quality and there is no sense in having a 5i that might occasionally carry 195m / 213yds when absolutely flushed.

I ordered T350s yesterday; my game has changed so much for the worst.  I'll be selling my 620mb and 100S.

I recently tried the T350's, T200's and the T300's. I like the T200's but sacrificed a lot of distance with them. The T350's flew farther, higher and landed with a better descent angle. The T300's were every bit as good flight wise as the T300's, were more consistent and spun a bit more for me than the 350's, albeit the T350's felt a bit softer. I opted for the T300's in the end as I could not justify the price difference simply to have a bit softer feel. I really do think the T350's (or the T300's for that matter) are a very solid choice which many might be over looking. Also happy to say that after the first several rounds of playing them, I am sticking more greens now as the ball is coming in high and soft. From 150yds I maybe get 3 to 4 feet of hop and stop for example. I'll take that every day of the week!

Interesting how people vary so much with their iron series choice, basing choice on a LM saying one is better than the other.

Last year, when I bought 2022 - T100S 5i-G, also bought 2022 - T200 2i & 4i.  MY hope was strong lofted T100S would get me some more yardage, only I was disappointed - too damn much spin, and T200 2i & strong 4i, were not flying as far as 718 T-MB 2i and weaker 620MB 4i.

Earlier this year, while watching a PGA event, I was reminded of a swing tweak; tucking shirt material into arm pit, to tighten backswing.  Anyway, I tightened in my right elbow, like a waiter holding a tray, which appeared to contribute to a better turn/backswing, BAM!  T200 2i & 4i now drop nicely into the slot, traveling from inside to out though the ball making ideal contact.  Both those irons now launch DASH  -ProV1x mid-high matching even exceeding distances of my trusty old 2i & 4i.  I now B a happy camper.

My point; how often might people have swing issues, requiring only a minor tweak; yet buy new clubs in hopes new makes the needed adjustment vanish; only it doesn't vanish.

Yes I had a really good fitting actually.   I've been injured quite a bit at work over the past year or so.  I can't swing the way I used to.  I needed something easy to launch so I can still enjoy the game.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
