Maltby Pure Track reviews?

Look at this this putter. Anyone have any first hand experiences with this line?

I did spend a lot of time with mine but have moved back to the PTM-1. The PTM-5 I have has the Maltby version of the Stabilty shaft. Overall it's an amazing putter. My eye just likes the PTM-1 better. But performance wise they are interchangeable.

I just ordered one of the CS versions with the Pure Track shaft.  Hasn't shippped yet.  I also have a PTM-4 but don't like the grip I have on it but have been lazy and haven't had it changed yet.  But it's a nice head.

I have an old center shafted Maltby C-Ray Mallet that has been in my bag for about 20 years.  Just have found nothing better for me.  It is hard to find a good center shafted mallet.  If I were to replace mine, the one you pictured would be a top choice.

The quality of the forgings are very impressive. All of the PTM series have exceptional feel. 

My local pro is in love with the PTM-5 but has to play a TM putter to keep with his contract. He can only have so many non TM clubs.

I have a center TM putter now and was going to just get a replacement insert from Spryevo but figured I’d look at these too

Similar to all maltby stuff. Really underrated. Good product. Cheap price.

will do.  I'll post on here after the tournament tomorrow but from what I can see already just by practicing with it on the putting mat is that it is going to work nice.  I'm hoping my distance control for putts outside of 10 feet is good.  There's always that unknown aspect once you move from the putting mat to real greens

I installed the heavy shaft on a spider gt and loved it. It is really heavy though (around 180-200 g  after trimming the butt if I remember correctly) and kind of shocking when you first hold it. Let one of my buddies borrow it to demo the GT head and they ended up liking it too and bought it from me. Thinking about trying a KE4 max build with the shaft now or just putting it in another GT head 

 

It was a pain to trim and wore out my entire dremel wheel just to finish though.

So it was great.  Aim and putt. No weird lag from being too heavy, distance control is the same, or at least was for me. No learning curve at all. Very very happy with the build. Did I make putts, no. They were right edge, left edge, the whole day. They just weren’t falling for me. The pins were in very difficult putting locations.

I have to say it was a great putter, however I have not been playing and missed looking down on my Custom Bastain prototype with a plumbers neck so I went back to that

Just got a PTM-5CS that I set up as a counterbalanced putter. So far it's great. Feels incredibly soft off the face for a milled putter.

Oh lol, I didn't pay attention to the username. I put the Ping midsize grip on another putter and put a 17" Super Stroke on the PTM. It feels fantastic!
