The tour heads down the Jersey shore to Atlantic City for another rendition of the ShopRite. Only 3 rounds this week with a fairly poor TV schedule. Oh well.

Short, but tough course when the winds are blowing. Small greens and thick native areas will eat you up.

My field rating for this event is an embarassingly low 31.5%, down from 36% last year.
My breakdown is 38% from the LPGA Priority List and 25% from the Rolex Rankings.
The field will be led by top ten players:
Atthaya Thitikul
Hyo-Joo Kim
Georgia Hall
Brooke Henederson
Top ten players skipping the event this week:
Jin Young Ko
Nelly Korda
Lydia Ko
Lilia Vu
Minjee Lee
Lexi Thompson
Only seven of the top 25 players are in this week's field.

The Monday Qualifiers are:
Mariah Stackhouse -4
Gurleen Kaur -2

Other Stuff:
The last 5 stroke play LPGA Tournaments have been decided by a playoff. That is a new LPGA record. In fact six of the last seven have been decided that way.
Atthaya Thitikul's top ten finish this past weekend was her 6th of the year, tying her with Nelliy Korda for the LPGA lead.
Both Ayaka Furue and Ashleigh Buhai picked up their 5th top ten. Furue has finished 4th, 2nd, and 4th in her last three starts.
Rose Zhang became the 4th first time winner on the LPGA this year. Zhang's win was the third by an American player this year which leads the tour.

Rolex Rankings:
Rose Zhang made one of the biggest moves in history (if not the biggest) moving up 420 spots. She skyrockets from No. 482 to No. 62.
Jennifer Kupcho moves 26-21
Hae Ran Ryu 35-30
Cheyenne Knight 42-38
Eun Hee Ji 56-45

Wind is always factor as there's reason its called the bay course. Add in typical Ross touches and it to the difficulty.

Yuna Nishimura beats Minami Katsu and Su Hyun Oh in a two hole playoff.

Gerina Mendoza gets a top 10 in her 1st start of the season.

Bold picks, Su is off the grid, but she does play well in AC

I like your vibe, I am picking Jennifer Chang, Gina Kim, or Caroline Inglis for the W.

Edit nvm don't see Caroline in the field.. guess she taking the NJ swing off...one of the Laurens Coughlin/Hartlage to do well, hopefully Schubie turns it around too

Any preliminary field rating for the US Open? I'm wondering if not for the Kordas possibly being out if it would be the highest ever.

Who’s that #5 girl? Wichanee Meechai?

Wichanee has a beautiful swing, one of my favorites! Also has Callaway on her brim, this mystery woman appears to have no sponsor, or hard to tell since it's a dark cap.

I was not ready for all that violence, i think i'm going to sleep with the light on tonight

I'm sitting here waiting to play the pro-am.  4-hour delay due to smoke.

I thought I read somewhere that it was being reduced to 9 holes.  But I may be confusing that with something else.

Dana Finkelstein Fall was certainly not happy today, called Mollie a hypocrite on twitter, presumably over a decision to go ahead with play.

The delay was unnecessary.  Really made a mess of things.  Groups on the Bay Course were reduced to 9-holes while the other courses played 18.
