I traded in a bunch of random, junk clubs (2 sets of Tommy Armour 845s, old titleist hybrid, etc) that I tried literally giving away and got no takers...and got $160 in store credit at Play it again sports. Was planning on using it for some workout equipment, but when I saw this bonus I went in with the Callaway trade in sheet and tried to maximize what I could get. Ended up paying $45 + credit for a near new Odyssey 10 2-ball. 

That was $150 trade value per Callaway's sheet. Which with the bonus is $300. Best use of Play-it-again I've ever done 😄

 

Traded in that putter, a G400 LST Driver ($100) and 3w ($70), GBB Epic 3w ($60), and R11s Driver ($30). Total $410 - $820 with bonus.

 

Got a new Paradym and new Ogio bag for another like $40-50.

 

Such a good trade program.

They just lowered all of their prices sitewide I believe. There are other deals such as the Cobra Golf KING Tour MIM Iron Set for $499.99. Callaway trade in price for them is $393.75 x 2 = $787.50.

depends on how much you can find it for obviously. And the aren't taking in just any set of irons - they have to be on the list.

 

eg: Titleist iron sets (8 iron set)

If you are looking for a set to trade, Proclubs has some PXG Gen 3 that are pretty good for this purpose:

Before tax/shipping, there are a couple of sets that are $399 that would yield $418 x 2 trade in value.  You can also check Global Golf, as with the current 15% off used clubs there are some decent options too in PXG Gen 3.

Wow didn't realize play it again sports is doing this deal too. Do you know if it is at all locations? I'm trying to find an ad or something from them for the callaway bonus.

Hmm.... 

$90x2 for an old set of TM Rocketballz irons and $95x2 for an M6 driver that are both collecting dust... might be time to thin the herd a little.

Play it again has no relation to the Callaway deal. I just happened to have some credit there, so I used that credit to purchase a putter - which happened to hold a relatively high value on Callaway's trade in rate card sheet. Essentially I paid $40ish out of pocket for a putter from Play it again, then traded that into Callaway for $300 total credit.

Most Play it Again sports have a relationship with Callaway and Callaway's Pre Owned where they can get product to stock their stores at discounts.
