That’s about where I’m at.  Either it works or I’ll wait and see if they release one with the white hot insert later on.

It was not an easy decision, though I am passing on this. 

 

-not a fan of SuperStroke grips

-Head is too heavy for my preferences

-Wrong insert for me

-no pictures of the bottom of the putter (there will be people that are upset if this is not the O-works version with the weights)

-not available until September

 

Hopefully there are more Jailbirds released in 2024 (Mini Jailbird CH w/ White Hot insert, please).

I don’t know the first thing about this stuff but I find it pretty pathetic that these websites/payment processors don’t prepare for things like this so it doesn’t happen

I would have too.. was ordering 2* flat and at 38”.. timing was perfect too since I just had ulnar nerve surgery and should be cleared to resume putting/chipping in early September.  Would have been here right when I was ready to start practicing again.

Work in tech and have for years, it's pretty sad state of affairs. Some places do it well like amazon and nike(which was and is sometimes awful).

I'm 6'4" and these long putters are actually better for my back.  When I go back to my old 38" Tank when my stroke gets bad, my back is always less stressed.

 agree - what many companies don't quite get is good customer service is not just about fixing mistakes, but avoiding these mistakes altogether.  at the end of the day, there will be corp meeting about how successful this was, they sold out in minutes, but probably don't realize the damage they have done to their brand along the way.  To an earlier poster, would much prefer if they just said, sold out.  or hey, things are messed up, we'll relaunch in X hours.  this is just miserable.

Same thing basically happened to the Rahm putter release back in the end of April. People get upset initially but then forget when the next new shiny toy comes out.  I deal with this disappointment all the time with Jordan releases.  At least with Cally, I win every now and then.

100% agree. A while back I interviewed will all the major oems and tech is a solid 15 years behind in the golf industry. Anything else they outsource and hope. 
 

at this point I think they should have just announced a real re release of the jailbird and just leave it be.
