Does anyone recommend the Ghost?

I really like the looks of the Ghost oreo bag but wasn't excited about spending ~$400 on a golf bag that I didn't really need. I saw there is a promotion where if you buy the bag through Facebook, you get 20% off which brings the cost down to $304. Can anyone recommend pulling the trigger on the Ghost at that price vs another option? I love the look of Vessel too but the price is higher and it is my understanding that ghost/vessel are very similar. I also wish they had the 7 way in stock - I think I would prefer that over the 14 way. 

 

Thoughts on buying this bag or is there something else to consider? This will mainly be a cart bag but would like the option to walk too.

Not first-hand experience, but my VP at work got the Ghost bag and loves it, he also considered a Vessel and came from a Sun Mountain bag.  We travel a lot for work, often our clubs travel with us.  The airline managed to break one of his Ghost's stand legs, and he had a replacement leg from Ghost within a couple of days and was able to do the fix on his own.  So not only happy with the bag, but the service as well.

Ghost bags are almost certainly made by Vessel as they are nearly identical and share the rotating base which I believe is probably copyrighted. While the Ghost bags look beautiful, they have a little too much visible branding for my taste and lack a full length apparel pocket. That said, I would have to actually see one in person before pulling the trigger even with a 20% discount.

I decided to pull the trigger because of the 20% discount. The Ghost branding doesn't bother me - I actually kind of like it.  It was like ~$330 after tax. Seems like a great price for a bag that is comparable to Vessel.

Let us know how the smaller sidebag pockets work for apparel. And post some pics

Love my Vessel but that 7 way top seems perfect. Having a dedicated putter well is nice.

FYI Vessel does a 20% discount on Black Friday.

It's just a Vessel Player 2... they strip out some of the nicer finishes and over-brand it.

They are similar, but are absolutely not the same company.  With that being said, I do wish the Vessel I use had a dedicated putter well.  The top on my buddy's Ghost Oreo is better than my Vessel.

I have the ghost.  Got it two months ago.  Use it mostly on a cart but walked with it too.

 

With respect to the dedicated putter well: I carry Driver, 3w, 3h, 4h, 5-pw, 50,54,56.  With this configuration, I put both the driver and my putter in the top opening.  Works best to avoid club tangle.
