Lab Putters

Looking to switch to a Lab Broomstick, especially with the 20 percent off code this weekend. 
 

is the Mezz Max or the DF the better option?

Better in what way? 

 

DF is more forgiving, Mezz is nicer to the eye.

Both arent pretty. The Mezz Max is the more normal looking of the two. Both perform well.  It's really up to you man!

Love the DF 2.1. been gaming for several months. Putts down 1.5-2.0 per round. money on short putts. i dont miss anything inside 6 feet unless its got some weird break/grain. thats a big change for me. If i miss inside 15ft now it feels odd. Only possible hangup is lag putting. As the CEO explains, it takes some getting used to on laf putts because theres no torque in putter so you dont get that feedback from putter during the swing. I'm deoming a Mezz Max now to see if the Lag putting is better.  I'tll be hard to knock me off this DF2.1 though and i'll never go back to a non-lab putter. They are remarkable. Putting is so simplified.

 

This may be why pros are using Mezz Max rather than DF2.1.  I'm pretty certain the look of the DF2.1 isnt an issue for them given that their livelihood is at stake. Theyll use the one that gives them the best result.

LAB putters are legit.  I recently ordered a Mezz Max and can honestly say there's nothing else I've ever putted with that's the same.  I feel like I can make every putt on the green and I've never felt like that before.  It's point and shoot.  I started with a Link and honestly I didn't notice a difference between that and any other putter but the Mezz is night and day.  Previously, I had been swapping putters in and out quite often and never could find any consistency with my putting.  I've taken lessons and work on putting harder than any other part of my game but it wasn't until I found the Mezz that I found what I was looking for.

 

I don't know if it's the zero torque, max forgiveness, alignment or some combination of all 3 that's the special sauce but I'll definitely say there is something to it.

I love them. I went from none to having three in a month. They flat out work and just make a stressful part of the game less stressful for me, which is worth the money. I also switched to the broomstick and love that they think about lefties as well. The freedom I feel on the green is worth every penny. I am not a fan of the looks, but they are growing on me. I also had to work to get over caring what others thought as I pulled out a broomstick putter as well. However, as that fades it gets easier to just focus on my line and most importantly speed.

I have a new Odyssey Rossie and a new MezzvMax, that I am in the middle of a head to head test with, tallying 600+ putts so far. I haven’t done the math. Trying to keep that under wraps to avoid any bias.  I’m actually doing half of my putts looking at the ball and the other half looking at the hole and keeping score of all of it. I started looking at the hole a few years ago and it was a big improvement on 10 foot and closer putts.  I think I’m gonna go back to looking at the ball on longer than 10 foot putts.  I’ll see what the math says.
 

I also have a DF 2.1. That was a game changer, but looking for something that takes up a little less bag room.

I’m really considering ordering one. I’ve been on the fence but I think it’s time to dive into one. Putting has never really been strong for me. I’m averaging 32 putts a round and I’d say I miss 3-4 putts that really cost me. Yes I’ve had a ton of putters but I’ve always used them enough rounds to get a feel of if they work or not. 
 

I think I’m going to go with the MEZZ Max.

I’ve tried the LAB 2.1 and liked it.  What is the best way to give it more pop, come off face faster. The one I used was stock. Thinking weights,shaft, lead tape?               I came up short often but line was very good. Any help out there?? Thanks

My understanding, based on a couple weeks of researching these (still haven't pulled the trigger), is that you aren't supposed to mess with the weight of the head. They specifically tell you not to, as it will screw up the balance of it. 

 

Shaft should only affect feel.

Dang, I like it, just not used to hitting it so hard on putts 8’ and longer,

We’re going to give it a go on the green tomorrow. I have been rolling it inside on my Perfect mat and it’s nice. This is definitely different than anything I’ve ever used but in a good way. 
 

I’m really looking forward to giving this a true test. It’s so stable and honestly the most stable putter next to something like the Spider Tour X or GT Max.

The code Foley referenced was for Black Friday and was only on new Custom putters. The new code that is active now is only for Outlet putters.
