Largest footprint / shallowest 3 wood in past ~5 years to elevate the ball

I struggle with launch and like a larger shallower profile. I use a G425 SFT 5w and a G430 SFT 7w (flat lie setting)

Oh I was buying em up a few years ago when I saw I could get them for $20 and still have two 16* and two 19* ones that I move in and out of the bag when the wind is down because they are so easy to hit high even though they do spin quite a bit. Because of that I find that they are basically a club short of my deeper faced fairway woods thus the 3 wood plays like a 5 wood and the 5 wood plays like a 7 wood but the yardages fit perfectly in my bag.  Yup the clubs are awesome do doubt and definitely fit the bill if you are looking for something easy to elevate.

another vote for ping g425. it was scary shallow for me.

I would be scared to hit anything shallower than the Pings. I love my G430, had a G410 before that was great as well. Easy to launch and I always struggled with that with TaylorMade or Callaway fairways I tried. In fairness, I haven't tried the last couple of generations of Callway's people on here mentioned.

Another one that was pretty shallow was the Callaway Mavrik max. I got one in from CPO, hit it 2-3 times and the topline was already shot. Which is odd as the pings I game are shallower and never had a topline paint issue on those.

Ping woods ... unbeatable off the fairway, suboptimal off the tee. 

 

Callaway Rogue ST Max also very shallow.

Taylormade Sim Ti is the goat. Keep trying to replace it and it always ends up back in the bag. Have a haz smoke green 70g 6.5 xstiff shaft in it. Better off the tee than from the fairway, but still great from the fairway when needed.

I have the same club. Not long or fancy but just hits repeatable high fades for me.

I went from the Tour Edge XCG-4 to the XCG-7. I would recommend the XCG-7 just because it is newer. I still have them both.

 

I thought of the XCG-7 first when reading the OP's post.
