your history for the event should include that its technically the QBE Shoot Outs successor. The QBE shootout which took this slot in previous years was trialing a mixed field for its 54 hole 12 team tournament the last couple of years. lexi played in 21, nelly and lexi played in 22.

Is the non-definitive statement "Race to the CME Globe: Points" = because the Number of CME Points awarded for LPGA players = still TBC'd?

Genuine question here (i see the same oddity "Race to the CME Globe: Points(?)" mentioned on the LPGA website too!)

https://www.lpga.com/tournaments/grant-thornton-invitational/overview

e.g. the 2024 Hilton Grand Vacations TOC = shown as "500 Points".

A Golfweek article has the Finau/Korda and Aberg/Sagstrom pairings as favorites and the ones featuring Lee, Knight, Reid, Corpuz as the long shots.  Corpuz and also Vu seemingly having odds lengthened due to PGA partners where expectations are perhaps lower in Dahman/Champ.

Some bias towards distance as a key factor showing as well? Has it been explicitly mentioned whether all players will play from same tees on the scramble day?

I like the Ruoning/Nick T pairing as having a lot of potential to surprise.

Are they using the same Tee-boxes (Men and women)?..  I always thought ladies use the forward tees..

But with the game format, I'm not sure if that's the case..

Is it crazy to think that?

I don't know what tee boxes are being used, but LPGA pros never play the forward tees. They would obliterate courses from the forward tees. Typically they play 6300 yards to 6700 yards. The tees are frequently a composite of the various mid to longest tees (not including the tips) at a course.

I put $20 on Vu/Dahmen to win $400. Lilia is Solid, I am not sure about Joel since he is ranked 88, missed more cuts than made this year and only 1 top ten. I wished she has picked a better PGA player.

Yeah the one article said "Dahmen might be wondering what he did right for his debut at Tiburón" i.e. to get Lilia the #1 player.  (If I read the OWGR site correctly, 88th was a previous ranking, Dahmen is showing out of the top 150 now with Champ beyond 250th after spending much time injured).

Yes I was looking at that too , I guess the TOC is the official kick off to the season with new CME points, but I suppose the winner of this event, if not already qualified like Mel or Lexi, would be granted entry to the TOC?
