Seriously Morgan???

”I must admit, I’m not familiar with Wu-Tang Clan’s work either.”

Really you don’t know who they are or anything they did? Sorry but that kills me. I bet younger or older generations not knowing but it was all around in that age.

i doubt morgan could name any rapper regardless of style or time ;}

It's nice to see the publicity LPGA players got from PGA Tour website:

pga tour sees this as the successor to the qbe shootout, format is the same scramble: altshot: bestball, same course, same number of teams. from an infrastructure standpoint i'm actually surprised they didnt reuse the old website under a new domain or directly link the events through past results.

Sorry, Grant Thornton Invitational is no QBE Shootout!

Nelly and Lexi were mere novelty when they played QBE Shootout last year; but this year they're playing their own touranment!  Either Nelly or Lexi wants to beat all other LPGA players, just like any other LPGA tournaments.

Neither Nelly nor Lexi had any chance of winning QBE Shootout; but at Grant Thornton they're real competitors!  Nelly or Lexi could win a $500,000 check, a winning check bigger than all but six of the other thirty-four LPGA tournaments.

i was referring to the fact the pgatour website is covering the gti like it was still the qbe shootout

Does this event account as an official win for either tour ? Will Lexi get to play the Hilton TOC if her and her little brother Rickie win ?

Hero world Challenge played last week earned OWGR points, but it wasn't considered an official PGA event and the winner wasn't awarded a PGA win.  My guess is that Grant Thornton would be treated the same as Hero by both PGA and LPGA tours.

Serious question. Did all of the LPGA players in the event this week play in the CME this year and/or last? Lexi for a professional is a poor putter. How much does knowing this course from multiple plays make up for her dodgy putting stroke?

Ko didn't play CME. I don't think Mel did either. Pretty sure the remainder played CME.

Lexi seems putting challenged. Of course I don't like her wedge swing either (although it is effective). She generates serious CHS though and hits it straight enough to hits lots of greens. Makes her a good partner with someone who can putt.

So it will appear in the "other wins" section on the victors Wikipedia

I don't think anyone hits as gnarly divots as Lexi

Sorry I missed watching this.  How often were the ladies drives getting used? Usually in a scramble, a skilled female is a huge advantage. But,  we're they far enough up here to outdrive their partners?

Morgan said something on the broadcast that implied that that the men/women would be playing different tees today too.  Without much thought, I'd assumed that would only apply to  the first day, given in the other formats, after two shots you have the sum of one shot by the women and one by the man. But I guess that might not fit course design at all.

If we disregard the team aspect, we still have men vs. men and women vs. women.  We’d certainly hope women vs. women on their regular distance.

The accuracy of info provided during this and other coverages is just not good enough.

Don't the staff that work on these have any pride in their work?

I'm also pretty disappointed that they seem to only be showing putting. I would kill to see some actual full shot coverage outside the par 3s.

Poor coverage here in Oz. The coverage is only showing 4 teams, with the odd shot from the rest of the field.

Voice over guy calling the Day/Ko team as Aussies.

I am a kiwi living in Australia and wanting to see more of Day/Ko, it's not like they are floundering at the back of the field.

I like the format though.

I too caught the Day/Ko Aussie faux pas, just sloppy and ignorant.

Not quite sure how to enlighten US folk on here the equivalent but maybe calling a proud American a Canadian - not an insult, just annoyingly wrong.

They also stated Leona turned pro in 2020 when she turned pro in mid 2018 and won twice on the Symetra Tour in 2019.

What else is wrong or do they only get US players' info correct?
