What are Your Stupid Habits/Things, but You Love Them?

I start every round with 2 long plastic tees and 2 short tees, front right pocket.

I will never use a ball marker from a course I haven't played, also front right pocket.

When putting, the glove goes in the back right pocket.

I always carry a damp towel to the green and wash my ball before putting (a clean ball is a happy ball, and much more likely to go home to the hole).

Last one is ongoing. The course has complimentary plastic tees so no one picks them up and they are all over the place. I pick up every tee I pass and put it in my front right pocket. Periodically through the round I put them in the bag, and then probably 5 times a season when the tee pocket is full I will put them all back in the course's tee basket. I figure it helps them and they can't be good for the mowers.

I think that specific thing is what makes me insane.

Bingo. I won’t break my own but I keep broken tees in my tee baggie for emergencies.

Must have three wooden tees, ball marker and divot tool in right front pocket before teeing off on first hole. And I mark my ball with goat's blood instead of a sharpie.

Nothing in left pocket. Ball, markers, tees all right pocket.

Always broken tee on par 3's. Save the trees ya know.

Never take glove off when putting, and I putt crosshanded.

I will also nearly never wear a shirt or hat with a golf course name or logo on them. I do have a Nike Dri Fit Polo from The Ocean Club that I love, so that is not a 100% rule for me, but it will be when this polo needs retired. Plus, that is probably what James Bond wears when he is at The Ocean Club, so I have that going for me. 🙂

Lately I started to sand over divots if I’m waiting for the green to clear. Just gives me something to do rather than waste energy waiting and focusing on something I can’t do - hitting the approach shot.
