Ping Glide 4.0 Retail or Tour Issue, which to choose?

I jumped the gun and bought the Glide 4.0 Black Tour Issue wedges, and now I'm wondering if I should've got the retail version with the Hydropearl finish. What do you think? Any big benefits using the Tour over the retail?

Because previous versions of Stealth have not had the hydropearl finish.

This was a hard call for me, but I went ahead and ordered the raw in 56 & 60. I'm not sure if there's really any true benefit to this, but it does say built to tour specs.

If you play in wet conditions the Hydropearl helps a lot, if you live in the desert and never so much see a damp day then raw is fine.

I guess with tour pros they can control spin way better than us so maybe hydropearl is too inconsistent for them on damp days but that's just my assumption, but don't see why they wouldn't want that help.

I wanted the black glide 4.0, mainly for the black color. After I reached out to Ping and they told me there was no hydropearl on the tour wedges, I decided to pass. Thought the retail gave me more consistency, but then changed to MG4 at the last minute. Bought 3 of them last night.

No, I went TaylorMade MG4 instead. After the lack of hydropearl on the black, they didn’t seem as good a deal to me so was deciding between MG4 and retail Glide 4 (since they are on sale) and after hitting them back to back decided on MG4. Could have been happy either way. I loved both significantly more than SM9, Snakebites, and RTX

My local PGASS has both the raw and black Glide 4. I am going to pick up a 54 and 58s to use after my Stealth 2’s wear out. Great deal at $129.

the good old days. I remember how stunning this info was. That channel was awesome… still good intel, just strange knowing that Ian sold his soul to the least reputable golf retailer in North America.

The MG4s are excellent. They spin less than the Pings, but not a lot less. The finish will wear on the bounce as expected. The feel is way better IMO.
