Ordered TD Max 10.5 std std std Denali Blue 60S on Sat. direct from Callaway. Shipped UPS this morning.

 

Just got off the phone w/Callaway customer service - took about 45 min to get through - they are obv busy today. I missed the 2x trade-in option at the time of purchase & figured I’d try to grovel/beg to capitalize on the no-cost swap for my Smoke Max 10.5. Blown away that they were able to accept the trade-in & update my order post-shipping. Didn’t even need to purchase balls as others had to online. So stoked w/Callaway customer service.

It’s kind of crazy, the only thing I ordered out of the ordinary was a flat cog and even though I placed my order five minutes after the pre-orders open on the 28th my status is still “being processed”

 

i’m generally happy all you guys are getting your driver so quick though, that’s awesome!

Not sure about faster, but I would say more forgiving. It also doesn't have that offset-ish appearance at address that Epic and Rogue Max LS did.

Looks like they just updated their site and the 2X trade bonus no worky. Tried three times and just gives the regular trade in number

Haha. For whatever reason callys website sucks on my safari. I had to use private browser to place order and get id.me to work

Thanks to this thread I ordered the 8.5 from fairway golf! Haven’t received the confirmation yet but I’m hoping it will ship at the end of the week 🤞🏻

@Rbsiedsc I’m curious about how it compares to the epic max ls as well. Mainly launch and spin differences between the two. 8.5 degree TD max order is in and just can’t help wondering if it’s worth upgrading.

You already ordered it so enjoy the ride when it arrives.  Seriously though, the TD MAX is a huge upgrade over the Epic MAX LS.  It's extremely forgiving across the face but if your miss is toe side, boy you're in for a treat.  Spin doesn't drop as much and it retains ball speed.  With the MAX LS, toe balls would be low and left all day.  TD MAX is dead neutral whereas the MAX LS looked a bit closed and draw biased but maybe that's because the head I tested came that way.

Would you blind buy then or recommend a fitting? I know I play best at 44.5” and know a low low shaft could work but the Ventus and F1 would not work for me.

Always recommend a fitting, but if you were to go in blind, then I wouldn't hesitate on suggesting TD MAX over the MAX LS.  It's pretty much does better in almost every category over MAX LS, IMO.  Of course they will both be similar when hit outta the sweet spot.
