2024 Chrome Tour v. 2024 TP5x v. 2023 Pro V1 ball flight

Does the Foresight track downrange trajectory of golf balls? If not, you won't be able to use that device to answer your question.

From high to low off driver and irons

 

TP5X -  highest of the three by a good bit both irons and woods

Chrome Tour -  mid off irons, mid/high off driver

ProV - lower/mid irons, mid driver

 

I have been testing these on course only and I'm seeing the same thing. Game Pro V1 because I need the lower flight with it even though it spins a bit too much for my liking. Not quite as long off the tee but only a few yards behind and does everything else better than the rest for me. TP5x was my favorite feeling ball and wish I could game it but just flies too high and doesn't cut enough spin with my irons. Thought CT was going to be my gamer when that was released but it doesn't keep the spin or launch down enough compared to Pro V1 and the TP5x does everything else a touch better. To add in Pro V1x left dash compared to these it still flies higher than all, longest with driver and mid irons due to lower spin.

I have been rethinking my ball selection this year, been a Srixon Z-Star XV player for the past several years, before that was a loyal Bridgestone guy back in the B330 days. 

 

I dabbled a bit with the first version of the Chrome Soft X LS, very good in the wind, but very firm, went back to Srixon.   This year have been trying the Left Dash PV1, found it very similar to the CSXLS overall, just not crazy about the very firm feel.

 

With the buy 3 get one free deals going on with Callaway and TaylorMade, as well as the 2 for 3 deals available on the Bridgestones, I'm ready to try one of these, but can't decide.  The high launch of the TP5X has some appeal, as my home course has several doglegs where corners can be cut, but you have to hit the ball high to do so.   I've been playing the firmer feeling balls for years now, but really miss the old B330S, the one from about 2014 was maybe my favorite ball of all time, good distance, good feel, good spin, and good in the wind.....  From the sounds of it, the new Callaway balls might be something similar...

I bought a batch of B330 (not S) that were the 2014 model, I got them on closeout some time in 2016 for I think it worked out to just over $20/dozen. Not overruns or PRACTICE or anything, just someone on eBay unloaded the cheap when the next model came out.

 

I was sorry after a year or so when they were all used up. It was the only ball I've played that I didn't feel I was giving up something relative to my favorite Pro V1x. 

 

One thing about 2014 B330...that sucker was loud off the driver. Loudest ball I've ever played.

Tried the Chrome Tour this morning. Only seven degrees. Felt like a rock. Will wait for much warmer weather.

My goodness thats cold.  Even a Supersoft would feel like a rock in those conditions.  😬

I play in 7º C at the moment, and didn't find that made much of a difference. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
