Me too. I've also heard it called a condor. If spacedust can catch a drive on one of those par fives, he could have a chance of getting one of these things.

i didn't think about it. but yeah, i guess with a little downwind help and a lucky bounce or so, i could drive the green and make a hole in one on #'s 4 and 14, par 5's 304 and 314 yards.

yeah, i'll have it mounted to a trophy. like the statue of Atlas holding up the earth. It will be the golf ball instead.

it would be nice. probably have better chance getting hit by lightning tho.

My question also...it is somewhat depressing to come on here and see that it has been postponed a couple weeks...it seems that happens fairly regularly...maybe to pass the time until then, could Spacedust/Chuck post the terms and whatnot of this thing...is there a flyover view of the course? That would be fun to look at...I definitely hope this goes down soon though!

i want this to happen as much as any of you. i'm playing a scratch at his home course. but i'm playing 4500 yards. i think i can win. even when most don't.

 

 

there's no free satelite image of the course. since its so new. unless someone buys it from a company that specializes in that.

 

does someone have an uncle thats on the forbes list? lets play somewhere and get it televised. :)

It rained last weekend and we were unable to get it in(We got rain Saturday morning till Sunday night) We are going to try for next weekend.... I have 2 tournaments this weekend and I'm booked... Hopefully it can happen the 10th We will update you guys next week(Since its mothers day weekend and I have a newborn we will just play it by hear but it WILL happen guys )

I think the most likely explanation is that Spacey got absolutely SMOKED and is too ashamed to reveal the results. ;)

everybody seems to be pumping up the guy who is playin to a scratch handicap. Say he is scratch from the blues, add say 2 shots because he is used to hitting 6 iron into a green and now has to hit 3 iron, then 2 more from the pressure.

 

Now the 80s guy will be hitting no more than 9 iron into the green all day, maybe easy 8 on the par 3s. So he should be at least pin high on every hole. if he can putt/chip at all, which i assume he can because i am a mid 80s golfer and am decent at both. And he gets up and down 70% of the time. So that takes a good 3-5 strokes off his game. Knowing what he has to do off the tee will take 2 more off simply because if the scratch golfer hits a bad shot, the red tees guy will naturally blast a shot off the tee. And finally, the drives that end up in the rough, or not very far into the trees will be so close to the hole that he could just punch a 8 iron onto the green, easy 2 putt. There goes 2 strokes.

He has a shot guys, at least give him a chance. Especially if it is windy the day they play, a 3 iron is affected more than a 60 yard chip is.
