Thanks for all the updates Dave. I can't wait to give one of these a shot. Are you still planning on having that day at the course you were talking about the day that I PMed you a while back?

TM golf guy 182, Yes! It will probably be in late February to mid-March though, so we can get all the new models and components in good supply, and also give everyone plenty of time to plan for. Also, depends on the weather, but definately going to happen.

Stay tuned!

Thanks,

-Dave

Hey everyone. here are some pics of the new MACHINE putter prototype Mil-Spec version of the Transformer M3A with various options.

These heads are CNC milled from billet 6061 T-6 aerospace alloy, and then hard clear anodized, providing a rich grey pewter color (the blade model in the middle is the preferred final “custom” brushed finish with softened bumpers and edges. CNC milled tungsten weights, tongue option, “Backsert” adjustable weight and damping drawer cartridge unassembled, and mallet ring on the left llong neck model.

The M3A Transformer with the tongue option takes our original and industry-first HOG Superline putter designs and technologies from 2002 / 2003 / 2004 era and modernizes and updates them, with even more features, options including avanced customization, alignment, weight CG and MOI optimization benefits.

Weight ranges for these models is ranges from less than grams to more than 500 grams, and as precise as you want or need it! The blade example in the middle is adjusted from 320 grams to 365 grams with the Backsert weight drawer cartridge options alone.

My limited edition custom Mil-Specs will have all interchangeable components marked with their own weight and specs, etc. These are just a small sampling of the options that are in the works!

Look forward to your comments and any questions. Thanks! -Dave :drinks:

Here's a COOL flickr slideshow of the results of Dave's garage time with his MACHINES

Drewspin--Thanks for putting together that slide show. I've been opening up new tabs and scrolling down a lot lately, and the slide show makes browsing much easier!

Dave: Again, the amount of options is just incredible! Great work! Can't wait to see what's next

I actually putted with one of your original Hog Superline (Anser style head) off and on for over a year! I remember seeing one in Furyk's bag in a Golf Digest "What's in the Bag" article and I just had to have one! The only reason I stopped playing it was I just couldn't get used to the over sized XX shaft by True Temper. Now I wish I never sold it looking at all your new designs. I doubt you recall but I spoke with you a few years ago over the phone. I liked the Hog Superline putter so such that I had my Pro order up several Superlines from you. He has also ordered several other styles from you as well (mallets, bellies, etc.). The putters were for Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course in Amsterdam, NY an original Robert Trent Jones design. I do have 1 of the 1/2 mallet Superlines in my cellar. We actually still have one left in the Proshop. I work there part time over the summer. By the way, did you guys ever finalize a headcover for Superlines? I know you were having issues with your supplier back then. Needless to say, I'm very excited about trying an updated version of the Superline ASAP!!! I'm happy for you with your new business and I wish you all the best and I'm sure the Pro feels the same way. He also loves your putters. I knew someday that funky "tongue" insert would take off!

Yes, I remember, and thanks for the referral to your pro! Thanks for all the suppprt then, and now, including your kind well wishes! I wouldn't be doing this if not for all the great support and encourgement from you guys. More soon! -DB

Dave

You need to get one of those putters in JJ Henry's hands. He's a hometown guy, right?

Thanks Tracy. Hope to have numerous pros using these in the near future. With a lot of hard work and attention to details, and a little creativity, we might just get there (again!). One thing is for sure, I am already enjoying this new journey, thanks to all my new friends here on WRX! :)

More shortly. Best, -Dave

Hey everyone,

I'm back!

I thought I would change it up a bit and show some peaks at another related “hobby” of mine: hand made green tools.

Pictured below are several hand made models from recent years...all of which have rotated with others as my gamers. I have been designing and making these for myself and friends for more than a decade, but have never sold any. I was thinking about adding these to our new lines depending on everyone’s feedback.

A few more details: on the left: deer stag antler, with alloy tang and tines and leather fob. Very light, but still has a nice amount of volume, which makes it easy to use.

In the middle: alloy tang and tines and Birdseye maple scale. I broke this on some unbelievably hard greens this past summer, so back to the drawing board on that design (the metal tang needs to go all the way back..).

On the right is a Damascus steel model in the works, with a pocket clip. This Damascus is carbon steel and nickel. When finished, the carbon will be gunmetal blued, and the nickel will really contrast beautifully. A few more features and possibilities to be revealed soon...

I put a lot of hours in these handmades, and never make two the same. However, if there is interest in them, we can go into more efficient production (punch die, laser or CNC milling blanks that are then hand finished, stamped, etc.).

Anyway, my friends seem to like these, so I am eager to hear everyone’s thoughts here. You probably can’t imagine all the variations I have dreamed up!
